The summer brings a new TV advert from Thorpe Park, called exactly that. We are not sure what target market they are aiming for, but with tags such as ‘deep throat’, ‘tits’, ‘jugs’, ‘boobs’, ‘sex’, ‘shag’, ‘porn’, ‘orgasm’, ‘megan fox’, ‘cheryl cole’, and ‘michael jackson’, the advert is certainly attracting some interesting feedback.

In other, more appropriate news, it’s Thorpe Park’s 30th anniversary this year, and to acknowledge that, the flower bed by the entrance bridge has been updated to suit.

The path on the Fleet Lake side of the dome has been smartened up and reopened. With Lost City accessible on the other side, this has reduced traffic congestion at peak times in the dome which has been a complete bottleneck at times. The education centre has now moved to the building next to the dome that previously housed a maintenance workshop.

The park has been so busy this year, they are on track for 2 million visitors by the end of the season which is quite an achievement considering the current economic climate. It’s now obvious more than ever that people are taking day trips rather than short breaks.

Finally, it has now been confirmed that the February Half Term Thrill Chill event will not be returning next year.
