Thorpe Park opened yesterday for the second annual half term event; Ultimate Thrill Chill.
With beautiful but cold weather, the park attracted reasonable attendance. Many improvements were to be seen, such as a clean Colossus cobra roll pit, repainted Tidal Wave pool, new bins around the park, and progress on the 2009 coaster site.
A new engineering workshop is being constructed on the peninsula, which is a welcome infrastructure improvement.
With one train operation on all three major coasters, queues of up to 90 minutes formed for each. The event was an improvement on last year in terms of cleanliness and ride availability, but there’s still work to be done to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
