Despite the miserable weather, rehearsal day 2004 at Thorpe Park was a success.

Samurai looks great in its new Lost City colours, but needs to warm up as it’s not running as fast or as intense as it was at Chessington. Along with having its own soundtrack, notable improvements have been made to the boarding experience, with an extra automatic gate added in front of the loading area, and batching pens moved closer to the platform to facilitate a quicker load time. The themed decals on the ride, and painting details on the operator’s cabin are yet to be added.

Storm in a Teacup has also been refurbished, with an attractively updated exterior and newly painted tea cups and platform.

New ‘Port Atlantis’ signage has been added to the dome which provides a great new welcome for guests entering the park via the bridge.
