Following approval of the planning application for World of Jumanji in January 2022, Chessington submitted an application to reconfigure the Explorer Entrance to accommodate the track layout of the new area’s rollercoaster. The planned redevelopment would see almost all existing structures demolished, and the installation of a new ticket kiosk building, plaza theming feature, and two canopies. Although the proposed canopies were never installed, nor was the more elaborate theming planned for the ticket kiosk building.
