Penguins are set to be the stars in 2015 at Chessington World of Adventures Resort as the resort announces a range of new features for the 2015 season.
A new Madagascar Live! show – Operation Cheezy Dibbles – is set to take to the Africa stage, replacing the previous Prepare to Party show. Featuring the well-loved penguins from the Madagascar film franchise, the all new show will see the penguins take on a new secret mission and feature exclusive, animatronic characters, never before seen in the UK which sing, talk and dance helping to bring the penguins’ secret mission to life. Guests will also be able to meet and greet their favourite characters across the resort. Younger guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a newly themed penguin ride in Africa (thought to be a re-theme of either Jungle Bouncers or Toadie’s Crazy Cars).
Madagascar’s penguins will also be invading the Chessington Safari Hotel with two Penguin of Madagascar themed hotel rooms which will feature a range of interactive elements, including a treetop hideout, for guests to enjoy.
The announced plans follow on from the planning application submitted earlier this month for an extension to the existing Penguin Cove area of the resort. The refurbished habitat will feature a larger viewing area in the form of a ship feature with covered seating, and a walk through viewing area offering an opportunity to get up close to the park’s Humboldt penguins.
