With closed season well underway attention has turned to the southern parks plans for February Half Term 2015. With both Thorpe Park Resort and Chessington World of Adventures Resort set to open from 14th-22nd February, we take a look at what’s on offer.

Thorpe Park Resort

For the first time since 2009, Thorpe Park Resort is throwing open its gates for February Half Term.

2015 will see the explosive return to the resort of Brainiac Live! Featuring four 45 minute shows each day, Brainiac Live promises to make science fun with a whole range of exciting and interactive experiments – from exploding bins to rocket propelled chairs. Guests can also enjoy creating their own experiments at the ‘Brainiacs in Training’ stations which will be located across the resort.

Also available will be a selection of the park’s rides and attractions including Stealth, The Swarm and Angry Birds Land.
Tickets are expected to go on sale soon with limited availability.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort

African Adventures will be making a return to Chessington World of Adventures Resort for the whole of February Half Term 2015.

With a focus on the park’s zoo, guests will be able to visit all of the resort’s most popular animal attractions including the Sea Life centre, Sealion Bay, Creepy Caves, Trail of the Kings, Wanyama Village and Children’s Zoo. Daily zoo shows will mean guests can get up close to some of the animals. Also available will be arts and crafts and an African adventure quiz trail enabling guests to learn about various different aspects of African culture. Selected rides will also be available – although the exact line up is yet to be confirmed.

The resort will be open from 10am – 3pm for each day during the event with ticket prices starting from £9.
