Chessington World of Adventures Resort’s brand new accommodation offering, the Azteca Hotel, has opened to the public for the first time.
Comprising 69 rooms set across three themed floors, the new hotel is the latest addition to the accommodation offering at the resort. Based on an ancient Aztec theme, the hotel features a range of facilities designed to transport visitors to the ruins of an ancient Aztec temple.
Guests have the opportunity to stay in one of three themed rooms: The Discovery room, Temple Treasure room, and Temple Summit room, each of which will offer separate children’s sleeping areas with some offering views across the temple ruins overlooking a range of animals from monkeys to exotic birds. Also available to guests will be the Temple Restaurant and Bar. Described as “a unique and interactive dining experience”, the restaurant will offer guests the chance to dine surrounded by a range of exotic creatures including leaf cutter ants, monkeys, piranhas, and an array of birds.
By staying in the hotel, guests will have access to a range of exclusive benefits including evening access to Wanyama Village and Reserve and Amazu, as well as use of a swimming pool and gym, plus a new immersive water splash play area, Savannah Splash. They will also have access to a selection of other experiences on selected days which include character breakfasts, animal meet and greets, early rider access to selected park rides, and even the opportunity to feed the resort’s giraffes (subject to a £10 charge).
The new accommodation adds to the existing Safari Hotel, which was first opened in June 2007, next to Chessington Zoo. With the addition of the Wanyama reserve in 2010, guests were able to enjoy the views of a range of safari animals.
