Thorpe Park have once again had strong attendance figures, despite the heavy rain dampening the summer.

The infill site next to Samurai looks complete, and is expected to be used for the 2009 coaster station and plaza area. The land needs to settle before construction can commence next year.

Ride reliability is still an issue, with many attractions having frequent downtime. Quantum looks very poorly, and appears to be having structural repairs.

At Chessington World of Adventures, the Holiday Inn London Chessington is now open, and has seen frequent periods where the hotel has reached capacity.

The theme park has been on top form this season, really focussing on their family friendly image. With only the Zoo expansion this year, Chessington have had a challenge trying to market something new, so have been running a series of daily challenges for guests who apply online which lets them take part in unusual activities for small incentives.
