Samurai is currently at Mondial’s factory in Holland undergoing a complete refurbishment. The ride has been stripped down, with all parts serviced and NDT tested for any defects. The existing paint will be removed by shot blasting, before a new colour scheme applied, expected to match the existing Lost City theme. The ride will feature new black shoulder harnesses, which will look better over time, as Chessington’s red harnesses soon started to look grubby in places.
Groundwork for the foundation and infrastructure is due to start any time now, with the ride expected to arrive in February.
