They are franchises, so in theory Thorpe/Merlin should have control of the ones in the park. I'm no expert though so don't quote me [emoji38]
Franchises can apply to parent company to set up but I think Merlin would be the franchise for the brand stores in park.

If that's the case then kfc and Burger King should apply the merlin pass discount. I argued the toss last time in kfc and they gave me the 20%off. So gonna do same when I go next week.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already (couldn't see it doing a search) but I've noticed that to "share the fun" on a 2017 pass will cost 50% more than on a 2016 pass.

Tut tut Merlin, poor show,
I thought they were going from £10 this year to £15 next year.

I'm thinking of buying a Merlin annual pass for the 2017 season is the premium any better then the standard? I can't see that much difference with them except for prices and certain date restrictions so i'm not sure if premium is worth it?

You get free parking at theme parks with premium as well as 3 £5 fastrack vouchers to use at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Chessington. There are share the fun vouchers which allow you to bring friends/family for a discounted rate, they were £10 in 2016 but I think I read they were increasing to £15 in 2017
