B&M Discussion
I'm prety sure Shockwave has Intamin trains, or at least Giovanola trains, those restraints are deffinately not B&M restraints.

The restraints are not B&M no, but the core design of the trains were originally designed by Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard. I believe this was before B&M as the company was founded, hence why Intamin have used the core train design as well as B&M.
B&M as we know, pioneered their own design for restraints. Something that other company's cannot use, even if they have been involved with them in the past.

I had this thought; why don`t B&M create a kiddie coaster with a narrower track that can have pre-designed & custom track design. It would do great for smoothness & sturdyness. It would also be great for those parks who want the best of the best. It would obviously have to be 2 abrest in long trains.
What do you think?

"B&M don't make kiddy coasters. But if they did, they'd probably be the best kiddy coasters in the world."

Actually this would be a good idea. Due to the tender age of the passengers, kiddy coasters SHOULD be the smoothest and most comfortable in the world. Yet most kiddy coasters are rough and jolty, with horribly uncomfortable trains. I'd love to see a kiddy coaster as smooth as glass, with padded seats.
Oh and the restraints would have to be adaptable so adults of any height could ride.

Why though when we've got the likes of these making them..
- Intamin
- Preston & Barbieri
- Vekoma
- Zamperla
- Fabbri Group (to an extent)
- Maurer Söhne
- Gerstlauer
- Premier Rides
- S&S Power
- Mack
Why would need a manufacturer who build some of the best rides build a Kiddie coaster? They're designed to be cheap, cheerful and small. B&M aren't know for small & cheap.

B&M have an ego. Simple as. They want to build the biggest, most expensive, quality rides in the world, kiddie coasters have to be small, compact, cheap and chearfull, which B&M arn't. There's enough companies in the market already, B&M wouldn't be able to get into it.
It would be a major task for B&M as well, where many coaster companies have different train designs or track designs B&M don't, they have used the basic train skeleton for all their rides, they have the Inverter, Flying, Wing-Rider, and normal Sitdown with adapted seats. B&M would have to start from scratch it is a lot of work for such little revenue compared to their full sized coasters which go for tens of millions.
Pointless. As said above, Mack , Gerstlauer and co have perfect kids coasters already out there, no point B&M wasting their energies!

What do you all think are the best B&M Coasters ever built.
Is it the colour, the theming or the layout that makes it special.

As long as there is Imagination in the World, there will be bigger, better rides!

Manta at Sea world Orlando is nice. And so is nemesis at Alton towers! I can't really say oblivion with the fanta sponsorship and it being so run down now.
I do like dragon challenge at universal as well due to the duelling idea and the Harry potter theming, the cars also look lovely themed at dragons.

I've never been on it, but Silver Star at Europa Park looks fabulous. The cars looks so graceful and smooth the way they glide over the track.
Also...
Nemesis. Everything from the inversions to the themeing and the feeling of near misses with the ground/rocks/scenery make it especially awesome. Sometimes the height restriction at Alton Towers works in its favour.

Oblivion beckons in T-minus five minutes, be prepared for embarkation!
Eat, sleep, Apocalypse!
Pretty much all of them! Silver star is gorgeous, Air is/was (needs repainting and touching up this closed season for its tenth. Also needs some body panels replacing) incredibly sexy with its sweeping lines and bright sliver metallic paint. Nemesis is amazing due to its ground hugging twists and turns and the sheer rawness of the ride.
