The wickerman looks like a disgruntled dog!
It does a bit!

Is it more or is it shorter in length as there is only 5 folds whereas last years had 6.

In yesterdays Sun paper they had a large map printed on it, only the main side though.

We had this debate on park yesterday and compared this year's map to last year's, it is indeed smaller this year.

The main changes I can see, apart from Wicker Man, are an updated Cuckoo Cars and main entrance. They both look very good.

Just noticed, the Woodland Walk is mentioned on the map near Galactica & The blade. I'm guessing this means it will be open again, great! :)

If it's opening up it'll need a deep clean, it looked very dirty and mossy today.

Yeah, I'm not mad keen on this map, the big roller coasters, whilst obviously bigger, are just too big on this map, Wicker Man looks like it is 1/8th of the park all by itself. Also, it makes the rest of the park look small, like those are the only rides worth bothering with.

That’s because there’s not really that much to do other than those rides.

Got the map in person this week. its nice. The smaller size is more convenient for in-park use but it does look a little odd above my desk. Its a good map but nothing particularly special

I like it better than previous years, but I think we're ready for a change soon. I like the overall style, but I'd like to see them look at drawing up a more accurate map, but still keeping a similar style to the current ones.

I noticed some people were interested to see a more accurate map of the park, and I'd already spotted that the app's one is very good. Sooo... I went snooping, and managed to find the source data inside the google version of the app. The high detail result is here.

Note it's a pretty big image at 11264 x 6144. One slight quirk is that the whole of the Wicker Man is missing! (I assume they added that as a time-gated overlay so that it would just "pop in" when the ride finally opened)

Thank you so much! I've been looking for this for ages.
You're right it is a really accurate map but it also retains an sense of style.

You're quite right Sozzy40. Those little touches really do add to the map and make it even more of an art piece.
Here's the map for reference:
