Formerly known as - Sląskie Wesołe Miasteczko -> Silesian Amusement Park
This is the largest amusement park in Poland apparently, it also contains a zoo, planetarium, pool complex and various other things. Up until now its coaster line up has comprised of a couple of Pinfari knock offs and a Soquet Twin Looper, which formally resided Lightwater Valley and American Adventure.
They're currently building an absolute monster of a coaster called Lech Coaster, which is a new Vekoma Bermuda Blitz featuring the new track style which supposedly rides far better than their older rides. It looks amazing.
Vekoma have a video on their YouTube channel of a render of the coaster here.

Oh by the way, the pronunciation of the parks name is something like this:
Slouskye Vesowey Myastetchkou

After spending a bit of time trying to learn to pronounce the parks name they've decided to change their name to Legendia!
Still looking nice:

I've sort of been dazing in and out with the construction of this, and everytime I come back to it the more awesome I think it looks. That first drop looks bloody brilliant. I really hope they stick to the concept art too, becaus as a whole package I think this could be a really cool coaster.

More progress has been made, all of the track work is complete (no word on whether any testing has been going on yet) and plenty of work done on the theming. They've also built a new entrance area to the park which looks lovely!

This project just keeps looking better and better with each update! I'm beginning to think I may have to add Poland to my list of places to visit given how amazing this coaster looks. Is it me, or is that a tree made out of pipes in the first image?
Their new entrance looks really nice too

It does look quite pipey, they look to be round tubular steel sections with flanged ends to joint the individual parts together. It's nice to see a park constructing their theming out of such durable materials, should hopefully mean that they last a long time.Ladyofthelake wrote:Is it me, or is that a tree made out of pipes in the first image?
Poland is looking increasingly like somewhere worth visiting for theme park purposes, this place as well as Energylandia look like great parks with some nice ride line-ups.

Shame about the over the shoulder restraints, this thing would of been amazing with lap bars.

Vekoma have posted a video of Lech's first test run on Facebook. Even though it's already traveling at a decent speed it'll presumably it will pick up the pace, especially towards the end of the layout, once it's properly bedded in.
EDIT: Another video of testing from a different perspective has been uploaded on Legendia's Facebook.
