Warwick Castle have updated their website with the first details of this year'sThe Haunted Castle event.

It would seem that Outbreak 1349, House of Wax, and Seance will not be returning this year which means the scare mazes look to be getting a bit of a shake up.

As things stand, it appears there will be only one maze aimed at the higher scare level - "Dead of Knight":
As the mists roll in over Warwick the army of the dead rise. Travel through the depths of the castle and if you want to live to see another sunrise you will have to survive through the Dead of Knight – new scare maze for 2019!
From that description, it seem that it will be located in the Kingmaker exhibit in the Undercroft of the Castle, therefore will be a direct replacement for Outbreak 1349.

There will be two new family scares, one at the lower "Plucky pumpkins" level, and one at the mid "Daring Dukes" level, as well as the return of the Dead Centre Stage, Witches Tower and Haunted Hollow. Interestingly, there is no mention of the fire joust so it will be interesting to see if one of the new scares is a replaement show.
