Bit of a crap video tbh...

Can't hear him speaking so that's pointless, and I personally couldn't care about what's happening behind the riders, more looking in front... Wanted to see the theming surrounding the drop especially, but you don't...

Should have been both really if they REALLY wanted to have a rear view one as well...

Wonder when CF's will be up...

I'll say it again - I am not impressed as I thought I would be.

I was expecting a family ride, yes. And the 'intense' level of this looks spot on.

There is just far less outside track than I expected. And the building entry looks really fake :p

Overall, I am sure it is fun but I am not quite as excited about this as I was even a month ago.

One thing I would say about Verbolten though - is the theming of the queue and station.

When will Merlin theme a queue to these sorts of standards? At  the moment, we just get sort of themed cattle pens with a bit of theming here and there. Obviously, it's better than Shambhala and the like, but still...

A fully immersive queueline would do so much!

:)

^If it has indeed used the Big Bad Wolf queue, then it's still a cattlepen. (Albeit a very well themed one.) ;)

Not a huge amount to add but looks like great fun, nice family ride, blows the pants off 13 etc. etc.

The funny thing is Verbolten's theme is Th13teens theme done right. It even has the car being dragged into the woods by vines and one of the drop sequences (Spirit of the Forest) which is themed to the story Th13teen should have had.

Also I find it of no coincidence that several elements from Air's planned oasis theme ended up as part of Manta.

It just makes you wish that our parks put in the same level of detail because it shows that the ideas are good just never properly executed.

*goes against the grain yet again* lol

I actually think it looks great. The drop looks like Th13teens and the layout is much better. The theming in the event building looks superb and really adheres to the theme more than Th13teens does.

My counter argument to this is that what was on the plans in terms of outdoor track has been built. The outdoor section always looked short on the plans in my opinion, and it is no different in reality so how it is shorter than expected is a little strange!?

I just love BGW and Verbolten though! :P

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Busch gardens is looking to install a brand new coaster for 2015. All evidence points to a superman clone like sky scream at holiday park. This is a surprise move as they are really shoving it in. The ride will be in the fiesta italia section of the park next to apollos chariot, there is a bad side to this part as they are destroying lots of trees in a park known for landscaping. It will have 3 car trains so it will not have the terrible put through of other clones. More info when it comes out.

SeaWorld have a good relationship with B&M and Mack so I'd expect one of those manufacturers. Would be good to see a wooden coaster at the park though.

Atm I'd predict a B&M wing coaster or Mack mega coaster.

Apparently they have been put off of getting a woodie before due to the noise of it but they could get an RMC I guess!

A B&M wing coaster would be great, although some argue that they are a little similar to dive coasters (without the vertical drop of course!) which BG already have

Didn't stop Cedar Point ;)

Honestly this comparison between coaster types is quite silly, it still a new experience and it doesn't normally matter of a park were to get multiple sit down coasters why would getting two different styles from the same company be any different?

I personally think wing coasters are incredibly unique because they are designed for beauty and smooth riding, whereas a dive coaster is meant for fear and intensity.

Yea, all coaster styles are different with each giving it's own unique feel. I think that BG would benefit greatly from a wing coaster!
