Just been reading the history of the Alton towers site and came upon the snippet about the Battle of Slain Hollow which took place on the site. the name coming from the number of people killed in what ended up a stalemate.

It might only be a myth, and might have taken place elsewhere, but I was wondering why it's not in any of the mythology of the park. they've incorporated the Chained Oak, but a 'real' bloodbath legend would make for a great backstory to a hanuted house or perhaps a dark ride?

If you ask me, That would seem a bit jarringly dark.
