I'm seriously eyeing this place up for a sneaky, late summer trip. Anyone ever been?
How do you, like... y'know... get there?

Just found a vid with a pov, but with some. Dark off ride shots showing the trains in all their beauty ;)

Enjoy :)

I agree with Tom - simply one of the best coasters I've ridden :)

It's been known for a while that Liseberg were looking to bring in a Zierer Star Shape. They've just released some photos and a teaser video. It looks pretty epic in my opinion, but given that it's at Liseberg this is no surprise.

In the sweltering heat, amongst heavy smoke and burning fire, something takes shape from the soot covered hands of the blacksmith – a mechanical construction that's never been seen before. With an alchemist's knowledge, he creates the perfect element, and when the machine is set in motion a force awakens ...

You can't just build 20 million coasters each year unless you are owned by a very wealthy backer who is willing to pump money in not expecting a return anytime soon. You need a more sustainable growth like Merlin try to do.

Just out of interest have you ever been on a Star Shape before?

From viewing a few videos of Star Shapes and they look pretty damn intense. So definitely not a 'meh' investment in my eyes.

Liseberg have already had some pretty epic rides for 15+ years prior to the opening of Helix. Lisebergbanan, Balder to name just a few.

I really like the sound of this - Star Shapes are brilliant flat rides and I think it will be a welcome addition to what is a fantastic park.

I fear that 600PPH may be quite a low capacity for a new and undoubtedly popular ride ...

That's why I'm classing it as a "meh" ride. Low throughput+TTheory=Annoyance...

So you would be happy with an awful ride as long as it had good throughput? Not the best logic I've heard before....

I would be more than happy if one of the Merlin parks got one of these as I was pleasantly surprised at the intensity when I ride Air at WW.

I got on Bling before it closed and it was the MOST intense flat ride I've ever been on, most certainly not Meh :D

Air is a stunning, well operated ride. This will no doubt be the same, albeit on a programmed cycle! The best part about this announcement? IMAScore are doing the soundtrack!

I'm really glad to see more parks investing in Zierer though. They really are a fantastic company!
