Well it has to be said, this thing looks truly terrifying, a drop of such height with a flimsy little lap bar like that, just WOW! This thing should be absolutely incredible!
Or will it....
Just a quick point to make here really, apparently, Intamin have failed once again. The recently opened Sky Rush at Hershey Park, a reworked version of their Wing Rider model, uses these same restrains, and the reviews... DIRE!
From reading around, as far as I can tell the majority of guests are getting off the ride vowing never to get on it again due to the sheer pain it causes in the tops of your legs every time there is the slightest bit of Air Time. The surface area of the restraints that sits on your thighs is minimal and is thus almost like having a knife ridge cutting into your leg every time there is a slight force. Now if this thing is pulling 5 full seconds of air time, the 400ft Decent is just going to be pure pain!
I guess we will just have to wait and see!

Can you point us in the direction of some of these reviews please? I would like to read them and see which people on which sites are saying this...

Must admit, from the reviews I've read of Skyrush from enthusiasts, it has been massively raved about. I've seen lots of reviews say that it could well compete with the likes of El Toro, i305, Bizarro, EGF and the megalites for being one of the world's top coasters, and the airtime is meant to be completely insane! I have read reports of the restraints tightening and being uncomfortable after several rides, but the same could be said of EGF, which gave me some cracking airtime bruises, and I for one will embrace the intensity should I hopefully get to ride it next year :P
Back on topic, this drop tower looks absolutley amazing, would love to have the chance to ride it one day. I can just imagine Astro on it now......

It's that time of year where Six Flags reveal all their new attractions for the following year. The full announcement isn't up yet, but drips and drabs have been pouring through and next year looks to be incredible.
Ahhh sixflags, great coasters. Just need to be more inventive with the names and actually try and theme them. Then they would be the best themeparks in the world. But for now they are amusement parks. No theme. But looking good!

They have theming, they're themed as a coaster in a car park

^ The awkward moment when Six Flags' police car theming is about a billion times better than Saw's...
It even has a Mushroom Cloud Tours bus style smoke effect... Some of the time.

Six Flags General Discussion

This topic can be used to discuss any Six Flags developments not specific to one park, or where a topic for the appropriate park doesn't exist.Looking over all of the announcements six flags looks like it is spending a lot for 2015. Its ordered:
4 Giant loops. Why?
batman the ride - worlds first something or other. Its a 4D S&S coaster which all i can think is arh throughput
Twisted Colossus - Another RCM which doesn't look too bad, a bit repetitive.
Wicked Cyclone - Yet another RCM, however this one actually looks good.
So what does everyone else think on six flags 2015? Also did i miss anything else that they announced?
Six Flags Over Texas and Saint Louis- Battle for Metropolis

It seems to me that a lot of the parks are getting the exact same ride, just themed differently. Seems a bit of a quiet year for Six Flags to be honest
