The only thing I think could perhaps improve this new site would be a boarder or something around the navigation bar at the top. Besides that, it's a great website!

I got some tickets from the nice peeps at the Valley to give away - without advertising, on a certain website about Parks and T's

Knew it was coming, but slightly sad news.Valley Mania wrote:The Wave Sold
Sat 28th April 2012
Valley Mania can confirm that Lightwater Valley have successfully found a buyer for their former swinging ship, The Wave. The ride, which has been up for sale since the end of the 2010 season, was removed from the park earlier this week. At the time of writing, we are unable to disclose the name of The Wave's new owner.
Opening in August 1990, The Wave was a firm family favourite for over two decades. Unfortunately, it was deemed too cost-prohibitive to be relocated to the Skeleton Cove area of the park, which opened in 2011, and was replaced by The Flying Cutlass.
But on the positive side, hopefully this will give them the capital to finish and open the new tractor ride!
Things have gone quiet regarding Ultimate's 21st birthday, I wonder if anything has been either planned or cancelled?

But don't they already have a very well-themed pirate ship, Voodoo?

Intriguing. I wonder what the second one is (all I know of is the vertical swing ride). But that's off topicBear wrote: They also have 2 new rides coming this season, not including this.
I'd love to see The Wave have a nice home. It's fairly vintage now, so it'd be nice to see it have a nice retirement. I also thought Pleasure Island, they always seem to go for this kind of thing

Pleasure Island is already home to a Pirate Ship.
Also, I love this bit of the article from VM:

Or perhaps that the buyer has not expressed their permission for us to disclose their name publicly? It is, afterall, a business deal.darkside wrote: Also, I love this bit of the article from VM:

We post information when we are given the go ahead to do so, which is how we have managed to maintain a great relationship with the park for so many years.
I'm sorry that on this occasion we weren't able to disclose every last detail.

If its staying in the UK, and Pleasure Island already has one, maybe Botton's as they have an empty gap after last years accident - not sure if they have one already, otherwise, Brean maybe, otherwise Gullivers - not somewhere big.
Maybe they don't want to be identified as they are trying to get it into the park without planning permission - if the council say owt, they just say its been there for years!
