I'm starting to get big red warning signs in the URL bar in Android Chrome for the forum. It's simply unhappy the site is http not https, but I haven't seen it do this before. Previously it's just been an information icon. I know Google are on a push to make everything SSL based, but it appears they've stepped up the warnings issued in the browsers.

I keep getting similar warnings, but hopefully we will get it sorted soon. Checks are currently taking place on the site and forum to pick up any issues.

This will be resolved in the next couple of weeks! :)

My user avatar seems to have partially disappeared. It looks like it's missing everywhere except the SB on desktop, whilst on mobile it shows everywhere except the SB.

Edit: I've moved from an uploaded image to an externally hosted image and all seems fine now.

The hosted image in the SB disappeared on page refresh, haven't seen any issues with the external image.

We are aware of something strange happening with avatars at the moment.

It seems to be linked to Android/Chrome in some way and might be related to a recent change to enable SSL across the forum.

TLDR: Avatars are broken, we are working on it. :)

Unfortunately, we are still looking into this issue. Mine keeps disappearing, along with others.

Would you be able to share what you are accessing the forum with and what browser?

Thanks for that :)
It will help us build up a bigger profile of the problem :)

Avatar Update

I've been poking around with the server to find what's been going on with Avatars, and to keep it simple, it will not be an easy or quick fix. So for now I have had to take the difficult decision to temporarily remove the avatar upload facility.

You still have the ability to use a custom avatar with an external image host (such as http://tinypic.com) and then linking it via your profile settings.

I am currently working on a major software update to the forum which will fix this issue along with a couple of other bugs, as well as introducing a whole host of new features. I expect to be able to share more details on this in the coming months.

Log in with facebook is not working for me... Have always used fb to log in... Remember Password was not working, was saying unrecognised user name, or unrecognised email address, despite entering my username correctly, and my fb email address correctly.... Guess it is because it is a fb linked account. So I’ve not been able to get on...

Finally decided to do something about it, and logged in with Twitter, thankfully it automatically recognised me and logged me into the same account rather than created a new one... wish I’d tried it sooner.

Is there anything I can do to turn this account into a regular account with a log in password?

EDIT: Nevermind, sorted it, just had to set a password and can now log in the good old fashioned way :)

The Facebook login is currently down by the look of things!
