It's the first Poler Coaster and will stand over 500ft tall. I believe it is being built in partnership with S&S so will use ride cars similar to that seen on the El Loco coaster. Can you imagine inverting that high up with just a lap bar?! Insane. (That's providing they go for lap bars in the first place).

The exact location will be announced in about two weeks time. But if this was built on International Drive or somewhere in central Orlando, it would bring a whole new meaning to the 'roller coaster' in the theme park capital of the world.

Now not all of this is fact. It has been confirmed that two are in the process of being constructed already and a third is signing contracts soon. He said one is 300 and something ft and one is over 500ft tall. This doesn't mean either of these are going to Florida. Rumour has it that one is off to Vegas. The cars they are using are the el loco coaster and it will have lap bars. Just thought I'd correct so everyone understands

A strong rumour is that Gwazi will be demolished in Spring next year, hence the rumours of the polercoaster for BGT. Other rumours include I drive live, Fun Spot, Daytona, Miami and even City Walk. At a cost of $100m+ it has to be a big player. My money is on BGT but I could be wrong, there should be an announcement in the next  3 weeks, we will know for sure then.

There have been figures quoted of anything from $60 Million to $100 Million+ (US Dollars), which roughly equates to £35 Million to £60 Million+ when converted to pound sterling.

$100million is, I believe, the world's most expensive coaster (Expedition Everest)

Just another record to add to the list.

Yes, bit bare in mind the budget isn't all for the coaster. There's the tower, entertainment complex and alike at the top. Most of the budget will go on the building that this thing is strapped to.

Supports and buildings all count as a part of the price ...

They wouldn't build a giant tower if there wasn't going to be a giant coaster there!

I really do think this would be a bad investment for Busch Gardens Tampa (If it goes There). I actually hate the Poler-Coaster designs as I think they look like an eye-sore and would much rather suit Las Vegas or New York or even just on International Drive (But I still wouldn't like it there) as it seems like the place to have a casino on the time in first glance. For $60 Million I would much rather build another Cheetah Hunt, Montu, Sheikra and the whole Egypt area. Just remember aswell they are building a new tower this year / next year...

I totally agree with you, Busch is a beautiful park and building this coaster would totally ruin it as it doesnt really fit in with the ethos of the park.

Seeing as Busch are getting Falcon's Fury next year, I can't see them wanting to top that with the most bizarre looking thing imaginable. The tower certainly wouldn't look the part regardless of how much decoration is thrown at it.

But where would a 500ft tower look ok anyhow?

It will be interesting to see where this goes. I've found a couple of news articles which include some pictures of what this will look like:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/world-tallest-roller-coaster-slated-florida-article-1.1525708
http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=336238

Looking at the pictures I find it hard to imagine it sitting in a theme park setting, personally I just think it'd look out of place. Having said that, something more unusual like this may be a way of marketing something different and therefore bringing increased footfall to a park.
It's also interesting to see that one of the article mentions that due to the height of the ride it would require approval from the Federal Aviation Authority, something which apparently has not yet been applied for (however whether this is true or not I don't know - I'm sure the manufacturer wouldn't hint at an announcement being made in the next few weeks unless all the relevant permissions were in place).

We'll let's think here.
Disney: magic just opened new fantasyland, seven dwarves mine train
Animal- working on avatar land.
Epcot-possibility but I can't see it happening
Hollywood- most likely out of the four parks but would be suprised.

Sea world- they already have a large observation tower, however this wouldn't stop them getting one so it's a possibility. Penguin themed area open last year.
Busch- new flyer drop tower for next year, removal of gwazi means a lot is being spent, could they afford it?
Universal & IoA- huge diagon alley/London Harry potter expansion, very unlikely.
Legoland- aimed at children so highly unlikely. Wouldn't have the funding.

So what does that leave us with?

Who said it was going to a Theme Park  ;)

Anyway Florida is a massive State so why are we only considering one particular area? Obviously, it is the most obvious one but for all we know it could be going to Miami, Jacksonville, Clearwater... Correct Me if I'm Wrong...
