2013 has certainly been a year to remember for the Alton Towers Resort thus far, and we're looking forward to the incredible finale to this season during the annual Fireworks display in November.

This year, TowersTimes wants to do something a little different to celebrate the year of a brand new park wide catering franchise, yet another successful concert and of course, The Smiler.

We're fully aware that there is still plenty of time remaining until the end of the season, but we'd like to take the time we have left to reach out to our users to offer you the chance to get involved.

There have been plenty of hot topics to discuss this year around the Resort, with just a few to mention including:
  • Alton Towers Live
  • The Burger Kitchen
  • The Smiler - Positives & Negatives
  • The return of The Sanctuary in March/April
  • The withdrawal of the 2014 lodges planning application.
  • The submission of plans regarding the farmyard for 2014.
With several weeks still remaining until the park closes for the winter, there are still forthcoming events such as Scarefest and the Fireworks to experience. Despite this, we're beginning to form our plans to celebrate the 2013 season early in order to gain as much participation as possible from you, our lively and beloved community.

What we're asking for is simple. In no more than 100 words, we want you to sum up what the 2013 season at Alton Towers has meant to you. You can write almost anything about your experiences that you've had at the park or on the resort this year. Be it a brief review on the Burger Kitchen, The Smiler, your comments and/or thoughts on submitted planning applications for next year, or your opinions on the various new additions to the entertainments segment this year.

It can literally be anything related to the happenings of this year at Alton Towers, positive or negative. All we ask is that you let your imagination run wild!

Not all content has to be written however. Have you taken any captivating images of the new additions or events at the Resort this year? Great! We'd love to see them. You can submit your images as well as written content, or even without a written submission. You can also submit your written work without images, but the more content we receive the better!

So how do I get involved?

Once you've written the content you wish to submit, we ask that you thoroughly proof read it prior to submission. If you're sending an image, we ask that it is of your own work and not that of anyone else's without their consent.

Once you have your content ready to submit, you can do so by emailing danny@towerstimes.co.uk, with the subject 'TTGetInvolved 2013'. If you have any further questions, feel free to drop a post below or send myself a PM.

Now is the perfect opportunity to help TowersTimes celebrate yet another unforgettable year at the Resort, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with!
