You guys must have a good relationship still since the early days of construction coverage so they might say a little bit more or confirm some of the speculation.
I think it was simply they wern't even ready to open ...

Is there a complete walkthrough of the ride anywhere? From the moment you enter to the moment you walk out of the ride area? I want to know everything that happens, I'm too excited!

And I noticed a few pages back on the Queue Times..... the stand the time is displayed on isn't electrical, like the other rides. Then again, they might not have had time to fully build another one...
The Electrical board is at the main ride entrance. I think this is the start of the make shift queue line and it's warning you that if you want to join the queue it is currently 2 hrs long.

Wow, Challenge The Smiler looks really good! The spinning eyes are really cool, and I can imagine are quite disorientating for anyone trying to aim into the bucket below them!

A few notes:

-There were 4 trains in operation today
- the rainbow stairs are how you get out of the station
- there is a really cool optical illusion AFTER the ride. It's just after the baggage collection and it really messed with my head
- the indoor heart line area is dark and misty and genuinely disorientating
- the drop out of the station is amazing on the back row (where I was sitting)
- there is a screen in the shop that superimposes Smiler uniforms etc onto you and I think you can buy the photo
- the flasher is an INSANE head chopper
- the inoculator has been reduced to a mist spray now so like the giggler, it just cools you down
- I didn't even notice the tickler

Hope this answers some questions

Sorry, I'm just so excited that it's finally open! It doesn't feel real seeing people in the queue, after watching it being constructed for so long! I am so unbelievably excited to ride it

I thought there would be an extra trick inside. I just wondered what TT blocked out on the early photos which said they were doin this as requested by Alton Towers?

Nah it was just a track inversion, the main 'secret' was just the world record.

Hey,

This was before it was announced that it was a 14 loop world first coaster. ;) The loop was the cover up I think.

The indoor section is dark and misty, only this? I've heard three different notes about this part, so, it is really incredible? or nothing different and exciting? a little frustrated.  :?
