I'm interested in "Available on both iOS and Android devices, The Smiler Game App is set to bring The Smiler roller coaster to life, consisting of a full 3D recreation of the actual ride."

Does this mean what we see in the "screenshots" are what we could be seeing when construction is finished?

Such as these screens at the second lift hill :

and the spider seen here?

Going on the basis that Alton Towers have said this, about the game:
...consisting of a full 3D recreation of the actual ride.
Surely that means that the inversion circled in the image below will feature in the actual ride, and I don't think a corkscrew type inversion was on the original plans. So could that mean additional inversions have been added...?

Could very well be;

I thought this a couple weeks back, here's the link to my post;

Even if this app is a avery basic 3D layout, then it'll give us a good idea of the final layout, if not already released.

You are correct. In the plans, the inversion circled in your screenshot took the form of a very tight high-speed slalom, similar to those found on Maverick and i305...

Ironically, Maverick's slalom section came about when a barrel roll originally in it's place was deemed too intense to be safe.

I doubt they would reveal it in the app. This is what they said:
Plus if you visit the Alton Towers Resort, unlock hidden content using Augmented Reality technology, with access to additional images, videos and secret upgrades for the game.
I think once the ride is opened they'll put up a QR code or something, which unlocks the SE in the app.

Unless at the start you get a simple track and as you upgrade the track you start to gain all the inversions and things that way the QR could happen

No the first image is the vertical lift hill. On the third picture on the left is the first lift hill that isn't vertical.

The second lift hill is vertical, it doesn't look like it in that pic because the train is on the transition from horizontal to vertical section.

Not necessarily, just some point during February.
So, as you can see they're not being specific with any of their dates now...!
