They take you to the next thread in the same forum, or the previous thread in the same forum?

I don't think they existed in phpBB at all, so they are kinda new. What did you expect them to do, out of interest? (Only so I can understand why people might be mixing them up with whatever the expect them to be doing :P)

Seems to be working! There seems to be a new limit of one image (any more and only the first appears) - is that by design or not? Either way, I realise it's an aesthetic issue, so meh. At least I can get it working with one image, thanks Joel! :D

There used to be a button near there that lead to the next/previous page of the thread. That's what I thought they meant when I first saw them. If it's a new feature I don't mind them staying but it's a bit random because the next post could be about anything...

The one I was linked to was over 5 years old :P

Eh :? Signature seems to be working fine now. Weird.

Something else that it has pointed out, though (again, low priority) is that when you edit your signature, your avatar is wiped, so you have to pop the image URL back in and save again.

Just though I would point out if your on the first topic of a forum, and you click to view the (previous/last) topic, then obviously it will take you to the last one. (i.e several years ago!).  ;)

Well the forum looks great! Thanks guys for putting the time in to implement all of this! It certainly seems worth it and can't have been an easy job...

Now if only irkoo would get their bloody act together!

I have my doubts that Irkoo will be back up and running any time soon, if ever. :(

Basically, in phpBB those buttons went to the next and previous pages within the thread.

They were quite a useful feature.

Looking good guys  8) . Thanks to Joel & everyone else involved, I really love the change. Despite losing my beautiful colour changing rank bar, I'm still a very happy bunny!

Loving the update - the forum looks somewhat refreshed yet distinctly similar :)

One issue i've had is when I upload an image to a topic, it tends to extend off to the right hand side and off the forum, adding a scroll bar to the bottom of the browser - is there a possible solution to fix this perhaps?

Once again, great work guys!  :)

Everything seems to be fantastic so thanks Joel and everyone else that has been involved in this transition, it seems to have gone relatively smoothly!

My one concern as it were is in relation to the "previous" and "next" buttons. Now I know what they are for it's not so bad but I assumed that they would take me to the next or previous page in a topic. Is there any way at all to have a return of buttons that will take you to the next or previous page in a topic? It's just a lot easier than clicking on page numbers and something all other forums I've used have so I assume there is a way to have it return here? Not to worry if not though, it's just a minor thing I was thinking of!

:)

I do kind of agree with Rob, I think the location of the "previous and next" links at the bottom right of posts is where the old thread navigation used to be, at the moment I do keep clicking next expecting to go to the next page of the current thread, instead it goes to the next thread. Im not really sure the links are needed at all, I dont know how many people go from one thread to another like that?

Other than that the forum is looking pretty similar to the old one, just with some minor changes.
Joel

Fixed that now hopefully :P

Right, thats all my fixing for today, I need some chill time in front of the PS3 BADLY! :P

I actually like those buttons, they could be quite usefull, it's just that they'd be better on the other side because that's where the old page number buttons were. :P

I'm not completely sold but I'm sure I'll get used to this new version sooner rather than later, it looks nice and smart and it's not too different.

Fantastic work to have it up and running so quickly and so smoothly, and it's clear a lot of work has gone into it, so a massive thanks is in order to the team.

Large images don't seem to be resizing!

Edit from Chris: Removed the epically large image as we already know that its an issue
