Whilst queueing for Nemesis the other week, the woman behind me said to her friend: "is this the one which drops vertically into a hole in the ground?"

Er, no  <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->

"This used to be called The Black Hole but they changed its name to Oblivion"

"So. Is this the one with the vertical drop?" - Nemesis Queue
"Wow. This is a long queue " - Inside section of Duel's queue.

Liverpudlian family behind me in the indoor section of the 13 queue;
"What is this then?"
"Well it's like a maze"
Hmm.

well you could say that about the queline of rita or th13teen TBF

I think that's forgivable..just about. :P

Well I was stuck behind someone that clearly thought a lot of themselves last season in the Rita queue. I took a resort map out of my pocket, and I must of accidentally brushed it against her without realising. She turned around and said: "will you p**s off with that map".

Find this quite amusing and ironic to be honest as Alton Towers is pitched as such a "family" resort, and then someone goes and uses language like that.

How extremely....errr..... vulgar

Maybe alton should place signs around the park reminding everyone to watch their P's and Q's, seeing as freedom of speech has just about been taken away these days. Perhaps that women needs some anger management therapy for her aggression too.

That kind of behaviour doesn't really surprise me. It's understandable that someone could be ratty after queueing non-stop etc, but that kind of talk really doesn't belong in a family theme park and is unacceptable. It's actually quite tame, considering. I've heard much, much worse at Drayton Manor, but then they do attract a slightly lower class visitor 8-[

I swear frequently, but try not to if in the earshot of small children.

*Looking towards Nemesis*
Boy 1: "What's it supposed to be?"
Boy 2: "A Dinosaur?"
Boy1: "It think it might be a turtle."

A conversation I overheard while queuing in Nemesis's singlerider queue.

*Small child running from Oblivion*
'Mummy, I want to ride the squirrels nuts!'

Pointing to the Black Hole tent

"Oblivion was to noisy for it so they shut it down"

That was the strangest thing I had EVER heard

"What's your favourite ride out of the big five?"

"Sonic Ball"!

This was actually in a Sky Ride car, not a queue, but it was brilliant.

A mother said to her teenage daughter, "Rita's not a normal roller coaster, it's jet powered on that straight bit".

The daughter replied, "No, it is normal, it doesn't go upside down".

"Lets go on Rita!"
"Thats what she said"
*Long argument about how it should be HE said*

Young girl, scouse accent, Nemmie single riders queue:

"Is this, like, suppose to be Dinosaur Times?"

Can't remember what queue but I remember some chav girl saying:

*points at large fish about 40 cm's long*
"aw mint, look at that fish, it's maaaassssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvee like a Piranha or something"

Piranhas are small dear. #-o

Some kid was doing a tour of all the rides once. We were in the RITA queue and there was this kid behind us with a group of people and he was saying "Now this is RITA. Its name is Alton Towers Intamin Rocket abbreviated backwards." He must have only been about 12, but he got all of his facts spot on... I felt a bit jealous actually...

Yesterday in the Oblivion queue I heard somebody call Congo River Rapids "Rubber Dinghy Rapids"... like, for real. :P
