Small, but annoying.
See my reply above - tried to resolve but caused other issues.

We may try and bring topic preview back, however Joel needs time to work on this. He put an enormous amount of effort into just simply getting the forum back up and running following the server problems, and that's amongst work and real life stuff too. So, we've just got to sit tight and wait and see what can be ironed out over the course of this week :).
Big issue that hasn’t been noted:

View Active Topics isn’t working anymore. I’m getting to the page but it’s just saying no results. I’m surprised nobody else has spotted it :?
Should be fixed now, another setting that phpBB decided to turn off when the upgrade went through :P.

I'm surprised more people don't use it. I find it the most useful way to find important posts.

Just to clear up the confusion on this, as a few people still are getting mixed up, as this is how it should be:

Yes but its so small and such an effort to move my mouse over the ikle button :P

Nah I jest, I will probably get use to clicking it. Its just that my brain takes a little longer than most to adapt to change :P

Speaking of thanking - has the software update affected thanking ability in any way? Currently I am logged in, able to post, but when I try thank somebody it has a pop-up saying "Please log in to thank." Anybody else having this?

I really liked the rollover feature, it was one of the reasons I love these forums. Without it, Im less likely to want to look a a thread because I dont know wether the latest post is interesting or not. The quick questions topics for instance, I dont think I and may others would want to check frequently to see what the latest question is. If you can see what the question is using the rollover feature, you can see if its a question that you can answer.

The same sort of thing applys to most threads.

Dont know whats been posted = Not interested
Not interested = not going to look at the topic.

Imagine when someone creates a toppic or a really good post and no-one looks or replys to it? :|

Little things like the rollover feature really do make a difference.

However the rst of the updates are good ones & make TTF better.

:)

EDIT:

Sorry, I just found out its working again! :D

Thankyou so much Joel, you are a god!!

One tiny little bug. When you're browsing a topic and log in via the normal method, it takes you back to that topic. Can the same happen when you log in by Facebook please? :)

So glad that preview mod is back, thanks a million Joel! Much appreciated :)

I would thank a post of yours, but unfortunately like [tag:1ysu8vrt]captain[/tag:1ysu8vrt] I can't - system tells me that I must be logged in to thank, even though I am...
Joel

Should be fixing that in a moment, sorry, the Facebook mod knocked some code out for the thanks system....
gazag

The forum is looking fabulous at the moment, it has got to be said; congratulations to Joel and the rest of the TTF team! We may be a relatively small forum but it's well presented, smart and some great discussions go on.

Glad to see this is going to continue!

Does the username tagging appear in post preview. I have tried tagging a few people and it doesn't appear in the preview.

:)
Joel

No, it doesn't work until you submit your post (otherwise it would notify them when you preview your post too!)

When you preview your post, you'll still see the names in the tags like this:

Code: Select all

[tag]Joel[/tag]
... in your text. This is normal and it'll be converted to a tag when you submit the post for sure.
