Yes, alton needs a dark ride, they did try and compensate this in Thirteen through the element room, but it doesnt give off the same appeal and feeling, what would it be like if Thirteen was a complete Dark ride? It would relate to the 'Dark' forest

Who says we have to wait until SW8? We already know that SW7 has room for a potentially great indoor section! :P

Big, BIG post coming up, going right back into history!
1979
John Broome acquired the site and thought on what to do with it. As a child from a small, peaceful village, he respected Alton, but he needed to sell his attraction. So Broome contacted Vekoma to see what was in store. There he saw it- the double inversion coaster. It was what Broome needed to start a world famous theme park- but what would the villagers think?
It was late August when Broome met up with the locals at the village hall and showed them the plans for this ride. Many of them stood anxious; the life they worked for was about to be undone. But the villagers wanted the world to understand what a beautiful mansion they possessed. So Broome and the village folk met at a compromise...

Winter came harsh, but nothing stopped Broome building his new ride. The villagers watched eagerly as a dark, green structure rised above their head. The Farmers drew back their cattle further and further. Then the road works on Farley Lane began.
But the villagers felt the world was going to miss out on the heritage of this beautiful realm. So an external company came to the ruins and installed their attraction.

1980
February came and the structure was complete. A letter fell to the hands of each villager. It told them to arrive at Alton Towers at the middle of the month for previews of the new attractions.
One cold morning, most of the village folk met at the foot of the flag tower and where greeted by Broome himself. He took them to the Corkscrew first. The gentle growl of the trains was infrequently accompanied by a message requesting from no unnecessary screaming at the rear end of the coaster. Few brave villagers boarded the train. And they loved it. They could see their homes from a new view... And inverted view.
The elder villagers requested to head to an attraction that came from their request. Into the armoury they went. At the door stood a Tussauds official. He opened the door and history became the modern world. The history of the Talbot's was presented in wax figures.

March flew in, and Alton Towers opened to those in surrounding villages, along with a few thousand competition winners. The park prepared for April by requesting telephone booking for peak times.

April came and the crowds flocked in. Alton Towers was a success!

Well, there is the beginning of my alternate reality of the park! I shall try to continue it soon ;)

What if the Ropers (and any other nearby residents) never made any complaints against the resort?? Blivy would still have its 'dont look down' announcement??
