There's too much negativity on this forum sometimes. With anything that's successful that goes on for a long time you have people every year saying "it was better in my day".
Does anyone else love TTF, think the team do a great job, and the forum is better than it's ever been? Or am I the only one.

The team do a great job, the members on here are great, this is the only forum that I've felt at home with.

I was a lurker of the main site for years. Never visited the forum, late last year I joined the forum... jumped straight into a meet (few days after i joined up!) and started being active. I get on with most people, where as I'm seen more serious than most other members. I still have a laugh with most people.
Considering I've only been a member for nearly 14months now, I never felt ousted as a new person. I've enjoyed this year and it's been my most active roller coaster year, ever. Without TTF i wouldn't be able to get that level of visits to not only local and British theme parks. But also abroad parks... Hell this year (maybe a few days into 2011 too) I would of spent 5 full days in Europa park, would not be possible without going with other people, TTF has that common interest.
I can't comment on the difference from its 'hay day' - But I certainty enjoy the meets and forum debates. The TT Team do a great job and every last member has something to input on the forum, which I enjoy reading on a daily basis. (In fact I no longer visit the main site, just the forum now)

Obviously it is a lot easier to criticise something than to compliment it. I don't actually have anything in particular to say that is positive about TTF, however...
I would like to say that, yes, it is a great "place" and I enjoy the discussion that can be found here. The forum alone has taught me a lot about certain aspects of a theme park, which is quite something really. I don't "learn" things as it were from most other forums, apart from the new 'fact' here and there, or something fairly useless of interesting in the short term like that.
The humour is very established and refined, which can be offputting sometimes. Nothing too bad, and is quite funny most of the time even if you are not "in" on the jokes or have not attended a meet (such as myself).
It has a nice atmosphere and is looked after very well by the team. It is also very customised, with a huge range of features that separate it from other forums. So, erm, yes, well done. Me like.

I think TTF is great, I've been a member for about 3 years now and I check the forum about 10 times a day. I thoroughly enjoy reading through posts but I don't post as much as I browse, as you guys probably notice. But I enjoy the place and would love to go on a meet one day.

I think the atmosphere is really nice, there are some awesome members on here, the team are fantastic and I've never once been treated like a noob (though perhaps I should be :P).
People find it hard to face change, but it's just one of those things that you have to face, because it is inevitable. Forums come and forums go, so do members, and it's brilliant ones like TTF that manage to last so long while adapting. TTF is a community, if you don't like the way it's heading, you're in just as much of a position to change it as anyone else.

I have to agree, TTF is a fantastic community. I've almost been here a year and everybody has been really welcoming and friendly, both on the forum and on meets. TTF is a bit like an addiction really, hardly a night passes when I'm not in chat :P

F*ck the "it was better in my days" crap, lets all enjoy TTF as it is and stop moaning, things change, that's life! Get over it.
I'm yet to go to a meet(hopefully 2011 will be my time to shine) but TTF is the only forum which I've felt that I am a part of the forum, not just some digit on a screen. I've joined plenty of forums and TTF is the only one I've stuck with for years, being both an active member and just browsing the forums. Why? Because unlike some forums, people are welcoming and genuinely friendly on here.
TTF is like a drug really, you should stop, but you can't, because it's just so damn good! :P

I'm so proud of TTF and the team who have worked so hard on it the last couple of years. It's been running for nearly eight years now, and I think we're pretty much the longest-running fan forum that's still so active to this day. It's a new generation of people on here to my strongest memories of this place, but that's natural!

I have to just say that I enjoy TT. Some of the thread like the students demo I think shows how good the forum is as a whole. It is a topic that is going to cause people to get annoyed but mainly it has been kept civil and in the spirit of heated debate.
I have been about since nearly the start (only just found that out thanks to Kaycee) But It is only recently that I have felt that the forum suits me and I have found people that I get on with. So from my point if view the "hay day" of TT was not very good for me. It is now getting to feel like my "hay day"

Now that's out my system, yes, TTF is a great place. From the moment you make your first post you are welcomed and given an equal opportunity to have your say, everyone is treated the same, and by that, I mean very nicely. Everyone gets on and has a laugh, but when we feel like we can all have a proper debate, then suddenly go back to having fun again, and it doesn't matter if you joined yesterday, made one post and got 0 thanks, or have been here from the start, made 10000 posts and have 1000 thanks, everyone can have their say and is treated fairly, unlike some other sites where you have to be part of a select clique of members. I've only been an active member for just over a year now, but I love the place and everyone is great! If your're going to be a member of an enthusiast site, it might as well be TTF! :mrgreen:

As far as I can see, i've been on and off this site for years, probably under different names, having memory lapses and having to create new usernames, but good old Facebook connect have saved me
The forum itself is very well maintained, well moderated, the layouts fantastic and there's some really good posts.
The people, well it gets better. When I went on my first meet, got to hand it to you, I was impressed...As much as that blooming whistle was annoying, it did well to keep everyone together. Everyone was really friendly and no-one was afraid of coming up and saying hello, which I really respect Met some fantastic characters, had many laughs and was shown great hospitality by 3 lovely people who took me under their wing (Hark, Nat & Dave) You guys are awesome
I mean, you probably all know you can't candy coat EVERYTHING that goes on here, as that would be an outright fabrication (Portal quote) But then again, it's just like that annoying little habbit your best mate has, but you love them for it anyway!
So to cut it short, this is a fantastic place to meet people, share your thoughts, feelings, jokes and whatever the hell you want really :P Absolute pleasure to have met you all and cannot wait till my next meet
