Okay, forget what I said earlier... this looks insane and whoever designed this is either a very silly person or a complete and utter genius! I'd like to know what they've been smoking, it's done wonders! :P
I don't even know what else to say about that...

GCI have posted a pre-pov simulator video on their Facebook:
... 3030364094
I don't think that off ride footage in a simulator does it justice... very much looking forward to the POV!

I'm starting to think the desecration and destruction of the gardens would almost be worth it if we got one at Alton.

yes, agreed but im saying that we have one.
I wonder how the air time on the heavily banked turn is going to be,
it looks like a genius design steel wouldnt create that kind of instablity and the sharp turn i bet that will rock like mad good thing its hidden.

There's a little hidden pop into one of the tall turns close-ish to the start that looks epic, and that massive banked turn that goes on for ever should be epic aswell, and the track before and after the fly-by, and the, oh God it all looks amazing. The end is maybe a tiny bit sudden, but there's no way they could have put anything extra in, and it would probably exploded under it's own awesomeness =P~

=P~ It's getting more and more epic everytime I see it! I'm just curious as to how long the wood is going to stay as nice looking as that

Well for comparison I used Flickr and found a recent (end of 2009) photo of one of the oldest GCI's from 1999, Gwazi. Ten years later:
Basically the wood will get quite a bit darker.
