She is gonna be proper missed. :( I loved all she did and she's the reason I have faith in the resort. If she hadn't done the stuff she has I wouldn't have faith in that place no more.

Good luck to her! :)

Again going to miss her, she was one of the most down to earth and lovely hearted people to talk to in person at the Resort and shows what Alton Towers is about - to have fun.

:tears: Such a tearful goodbye! I will miss you Morwenna. You have done a brilliant job and managed to turn Alton Towers right around from its dull marketing days.

She is such a lovely person!

Although I am ashamed to admit it since alot of people here disliked her... methods, I found all these marketing stunts enjoyable and entertaining!

You will be missed massively! Come on and join the forums!

I hope you read this Morwenna.

Anything bad about you I've said in the past I completely take back. You're a marketing genius. As long as your publicity stunts didn't mess with anything inside the park, I've realised that they only help the resort.

Goodbye Morwenna. :(

Wow, seriously, that shows the measure of a good person, that she would email the site is so good of her and really shows what a good person she is. It also really opens your eyes the fact is we are listened to and it is nice to see some recognition. I feel immensely proud now! There have been ups and downs, it has defiantly been a rollercoaster of a relationship (did you see what I did there? :hsmug: ), thank you for the good work that you have done for the park and good luck!

:hwow:

You know what can we just get married?

I think this message is enough to bring a tear to any Alton Towers fans eye...

It really showed that we (as enthusiasts) really did have an input to what the Resort next. Morwenna will be missed, and I hope her replacement meets the standards of marketing that she did for Alton Towers as a Resort in general for the past three years!
Goodbye, thank you for all your hard work and good luck!

Well, since you will undoubtedly read this Morewenna, I feel it's only fair to say this:

I know I have been one of the more vocal critisizers of some of your ideas. Please don't take it personally. I never got to meet you, but I'm sure that in person you are lovely. I still do not agree with some of your past methods (endless bans etc) but I wish you luck in whatever life may bring you. Life is too short to hold grudges.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

What can I say? Morwenna brought the world of marketing to life with her mad yet clearly effective methods! :D

Alton's status in the UK will certainly be a lot less interesting in the years to come, it was always amusing to come across these psychotic articles in the news keeping Alton Towers firmly in the public eye! I hope all your hard work paid off! :D

All the best Morwenna and good luck wherever your future may lead you! :D

I actually got a lump in my throat reading that... NO MORWENNA DON'T GOOOO!

She's such a lovely person (even if I wasn't brave enough to tell her I was from 'the forum' when I met her on the th13teen evening ;) )! When I've criticised her in the past it's all been light-hearted fun and purely for entertainment more than anything else. She's done a lot of good for the resort :)! Good Luck Morwenna

P.s Guys, you are going to have to find another female at the towers to drool over now.

I can't hold it in no more i Love Morwenna, I do believe she did well in her marketing and you have to admit Thirteen is a bit scary and is one of a kind so Morwenna was not wrong with her marketing and if you reading this Morwenna and got a pack of kleenex tissues next to you then we love you and please come back asap because just like thirteen you are one of a kind and will be missed by all. :(
Best thing you did was get Alton towers in the news even if it was for girls in bras riding rita or some clowns camping outside the main gate you always got the top storys and made Alton towers its wonderful self because only Alton towers would let naked people run though their water park but ban speados :D you are Amazing and i love you Morwenna
Blaze

Just read the message, nice she took the time, really appreciate it. Thanks Morwenna, all the best!

PS I'd much rather see the front of scantily clad women on Rita, or indeed anywhere at AT ;)

Just for anyone wondering, Morwenna Angove is now the Chief Executive at Chill Factore near the Trafford Centre. (Manchester)

Image
Morwenna Angove, Alton Towers’ sales and marketing head (and one of How-Do’s top 100 marketers), has joined indoor snow centre the Chill Factore as the attraction's new chief executive.

Angove, a well known figure in the North West marketing fraternity, having previously held roles at Eurocamp and Manchester City Council, has enjoyed a three-year tenure at Alton Towers, overseeing sustained growth for the theme-park and resort.

Her appointment follows the recruitment of Martin Leppard as chairman of the Trafford Park-based attraction and the decision by incumbent chief executive Stephen Evans to leave the business.

Leppard called Angove an “outstanding” candidate for the role.

She herself noted: “Chill Factore is increasingly establishing itself as one of the North West’s top visitor attractions.

“I intend to build on the successes of the past and bring some new excitement to what is unquestionably Britain’s leading indoor snow centre.”

Angove’s appointment takes place with immediate effect. She is currently working with Evans on a handover period.

This is every type of ice rink you have ever imagined in one. It is the world's first non-melting, real, supercold, ice-like substance.
