This is such a shame! Can't help but wonder what went wrong for this to happen.

[quote=""numb3r1towersfan""]Here is the breaking news video, it says on there that the ride car fell 12 metres?

What's annoying about that video is at the end it pathetically tries to hype up the story by linking it to "ride failures" at Happy Valley parks in which no-one got injured. This just sounds like your usual technical problems on rides, e-stops and the like.

This is awful, and my thoughts go to the families. I'm assuming that I'm not the only one who thinks there is something suspect here. Surely if it were just a powercut there would be no cause for the ride to "fall apart". I think that it was probably down to shoddy maintainance and the sudden halt bought on by the power cut proved too much for the faulty part, causing it to give way, coliding with other cars on the way. The whole 50ft, 15ft, 12mtrs sounds simply like the media not having a clue what their on with. As for that video I don't really find anything about it that sickening or distubing. But I will apologise, as I'm not renown for my tact, and that is the sort of thing which doesn't bother me (What is shown in the video that is. Not what has actually happened if you know what I mean) But that doesn't change my view on the fact that this is a terible tradigy. The sooner we know what really happened, the better.

Whoever made that video should be ashamed. Do they think it's funny? They made a mockery of six people dying on a ride. I'm not really sure why anyone would want to make this sort of thing. The only logical reason would be experts wanting to recreate the events to see what happened (kind of like Air Crash Investigation) so they can asses what went wrong. Still, this sort of thing isn't really needed.

Thoughts are with everyone involved. Whether it was 12ft or 50ft, with the amount of dead/injured it seems like it was horrific. I wonder what caused it
