I am pretty sure that since 2008, a new generation of magic has started to come to life...

yeah, scrap charlie and the plasterboard factory and it would be much better. It could be replaced with an updated toyland tours, or something completely new. I feel in a way alton is lacking is in depth in the areas for younger guests.

It is definitely more magical than 2003-2008, and appears to be growing.

Whatever happened to: The big apple and musical ruths piano!

Apparently the Big Apple is now in Great Yarmouth:

I hope we see the return of Musical Ruth this year - brilliant stuff :)

haha

a musical wraith 13peice band, to play the benny hill tune and "in the mood" by glenn miller!

Whatever happened to, FREE FAST-TRACK :(
Those were the days.

As for the royalty free music. The one i want to hear most is the, as quoted by someone on here "casino keyboard" type music from RITA.

Also i don't know wether anyone else has heard this but there was once "toilet noises" playing in the lads toilets, and once heard some noises at closing time from duel which i could only describe as two ghouls "doing the monster mash"

The Nemesis truck wasn't removed in 2002. It was only moved the year Fish and Chips opened, which I believe was 2008.

Didn't it have a major gearbox failure, and Alton deamed it not worth spending the money on, so either scrapped or sold it?

Both a bad/sad move - two very quality flat rides!

I honestly dont remember seeing the truck for a lot of years, are you sure this is true? Can we get a 2nd witness to confirm?

I can't give you an exact date for removal, though it was reported as going when Fresh Fish and Chips was built.

However I can definately say it wasn't removed in 2002, as TT has the following picture of it with Nemesis Nosh and Air (which was taken either 2003 or 2004 I think)

It amazes me how much the park was destroyed with generic rubbish during that Russell Barnes era. I mean just a simple thing like a truck, which doesn't get in the way or need construction in any way. But no, it had to be removed didn't it!

That photo just shows how much better things like Nemesis Nosh were, even though they couldnt keep it as a bus.

Accurate description for everything he did. He'd do well at BPB

I loved that ride, was one of the first I ever went on at Alton Towers seeing as I was too short to go on any of the bigger rides at the time!

Whatever happened to all the superb Toyland Tours theming, and why didn't they use some of it for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

According to this post some of it is still lurking behind the facade of CATCF, and some in the area between where you leave the boats and where you board them. Don't know about the bulk of it though.

EDIT: Just found another old post by Squiggles where he says that much of the TT theming ended up stored behind the Farmyard in the old barns, before it was shipped off to somewhere.
