Can I just ask why when a general discussion thread has been created, 6 out of the top 9 topics are about traveling attractions or fairs...?
After discussion, it was decided a fair forum would not generate enough interest to be worthwhile. So, a general discussion topic has now been created. Examples of what should be placed in the topic would be:
- Discussion and announcements of future rides and attractions.
- The selling or buying of rides between showmen.
- Information on smaller fairs.
- Other general snippets of news.
I'd say the accident and simulator topics both fit in there. If we had to create a topic everytime a fair ride injures someone I think the forum software would crash.
Anyway I saw some adverts today for some fair being held at the NEC called "Funland" or something like that. A Reverchon Mouse was the only thing shown on the ad, I'm guessing you guys already know about that...?

The fair ride topics we have at the moment have quite a lot of discussion in them already so they're fine as they are. The main issue we were seeing was topics being posted that included one or two posts and nothing else. The moderation team would have merged/move them if there is an issue.
It's also worth remembering the accident topic was created back in August. We saw no reason to move it, and merging it with this topic would have buggered the flow of discussion up too.
Can I also remind people that if they see an issue with a topic that they raise it with the team direct rather than trying to bring it up in the topic please? Either pm us directly or even better use the report button. That way its flagged to us and removes the potential for an argument starting between members, ruining what has otherwise been on topic discussion .

I found a facebook ->
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Birmingha ... 211?v=wall
and a twitter ->
and even a press release
http://www.necgroup.co.uk/mediacentre/p ... nworld.htm
unfortunately the quote 'Suitable for families with children of all ages, rides such as the Waltzers, Ghost Train and a Helter Skelter will be highlights of the indoor event. ' makes me think it will be naff.
Edit-
Just found http://www.necfunworld.co.uk/

Merged with general discussion due to what seems to it seeming to be a relatively small fair .

Hello there, the line up is quite good and has seen rides such as Speedflip- Moser Rides, Super Spin - KMG Experiance, Stargate - A.R.M. Rides and Move it - KMG Move it 24.
There hasn't been any photo reports of this event that I know of, so the information on that website is your best bet for the line up.

Wheel of Middlesborough? You must be having a laugh!
"Ride the Middlesborough wheel and get amazing views of well erm, nothing yet a load of concrete and plenty of chemical plants."
Thats all that it seemed when me and the fella drove through earlier this year.

I'll agree with that, not every wheel provides good views of their town, but putting them up has been a very good idea in terms of tourism and investment for the owners :mrgreen:
Also.. don't they look spectacular at night? Cannot argue with that. :P

Don't forget though for all the industry in 'boro there's some lovely views from high up of the Cleveland Hills and on a clear day the coast. Well, that's going by what I've been able to see from up CNE which is the big building in the background of some of those pictures.

How is it a sad day?! Ayers left it to rot in his yard, good riddance if you ask me! Least in the Netherlands it'll get the treatment, care and attention a ride that size truly deserves.

Please do not post rubbish on this forum. [-X
This info isn't at all accurate and you don't even have an official source.
It is still in Ayres ownership and will remain so until a buyer can be found.

I see no issue with the above post maguire. Beskins has stated where the news was reported, and did not state the news as official or confirmed. There's nothing wrong with posting information from none official sources, providing you state so which he has. By all means put your own point across that the information isn't valid, but the way you have done so above comes across as quite rude and dismissive of other's posts.

Apologies Craig but certain people bleat about everything and make others believe it's true.
One person says jump, the other 'how high?'

At the same time forums are about speculation as well as official. As I said, feel free to get your own point across or indeed dismiss it, but do so in a polite manner. Now can we get back on topic about fairs discussion please, any further questions feel free to drop myself or the team a PM.
