Now down at TT we're having a bit of a [s:3cayqzkc]Summer[/s:3cayqzkc] Scrub Up and Rub Down.

But as well as the staff, we're also updating the site a bit as well. My Aim over the next few weeks is to update all of the attraction pages, including bombarding them with new images. Many of which have been contributed to the site using our brand new Photo Uploading Tool. That's right... there's never been a better time to contribute to the site then right now!

Anyhoo... So you can keep track of where I am on this rather large task you can chart my progress on the enclosed [s:3cayqzkc]wallchart[/s:3cayqzkc] Random List of Attractions. As I do them I'll cross them off. As you can see I've already done Ug Land, Katanga Canyon and the CCL Theatre. More to come soon. I also have a few other bits and pieces I'm hoping to get to soon listed at the bottom.

As ever your more than welcome to have photos off me. I have masses and I will upload them either via the upload tool or via my site for you all to see.

Edit: I guess everyone is now trying to upload a load of photos for the site. Maybe a cap on how many you can send might be needed.
Craig

The more the better I'd say, best just to send any which you consider to be excellent or of major interest for squiggles to sort through :D.

I know squiggles has mentioned it, but we do have the rather splendid "GeTT involved" page (did you see what we did there?!?!) where there's details of the kind of contributions welcome on the main site. You can find the page by clicking this link which will magically transport you to said page of wonder!
Craig

Ah if you're talking about the number of images in one go, then yes don't go mad and do all 30 at once. Batches of 10-15 would be a good idea, but feel free to submit multiple batches if you wish :D. Remember we're looking for unique and interesting shots of the park, especially during SW6 construction since poor Vik, Dan and co can't be there 24/7 (although no doubt they would complete with tent and camping stove if they could!).
Big Dave

I have a few of the farm and loads of Sharkbait reef. Like you said Im simply wacking them up so you guys can pick through them.

I know it may not sound like much... but I've just updated Towers Street and believe me it is something of an epic update... who knew you could spend quite so long on such as small bit of the park (I started this sometime around 10pm... and I'm just finishing now... you don't have to have insomnia to work here, but it helps)

Anyhow... as well as a small shipload of new photos, I've also rewritten the entire page, so it now includes a pretty comprehensive* history of the area, since is origin as as a shopping destination back in the 80s. Enjoy.

*I say comprehensive, but I am considering adding another page featuring all of the shops on the street in the 80s and 90s, as I have a whole heap of info and photos of them which I probably could do with sharing.

Squiggs... I don't know what this site would do without you, you're amazing. :D Thank you!

Its great having all the historic stuff to look through, reminds me of days (long) gone by, and of rides I had completely forgotten about!
Keep up the good work.

Cloud Cuckoo Land all done, there's now a smattering of new pictures across the area.

And the Transportation Pages, with new images of the new Monorail Trains and pictures of Assorted Skyride Fires and aftermath, as well as some pictures taken earlier in the season.

Just a quick heads up

In the skyride section there is a spelling mistake (yes I know, me of all people noticing it)
"as it's second fire in less the two years"
Kaycee

And a rogue apostrophe in 'it's'. ;) *runs*

Another random little point, sorry for being so anally retentive! :P

When you click 'Rides', the description of Gloomy Wood says at the end "Dare you face the ghouls." Should it have a question mark?

WOW!

Thanks a lot for those Duel pictures!

By the way, I will surely be taking lots of photos when I visit Alton Towers for Scarefest.

No go for it... We have a l'il motto here at TT... you don't have to do anal to work here, but it helps!

After all, the chance of me noticing it if no one tells me isn't very high. We have hundreds of pages on TowersTimes, so I have next to no chance of knowing the contents of every page intimately. Actually it was good you pointed me in that direction, as there were a few other changes I've made of that index at the same time!

It is something I've been hoping to do for a while, as I was aware our Duel coverage was a little on the sparse side. I still would like to improve it further, with picture of some of the other scenes which are somewhat missing. In fact I'd love an onride video tbh. But it all depends on what I get sent to me.

Same can be said of most of the other track rides (Riverbank Eyespy, CATCF and all of that... I do feel we're a little thin on the ground in such areas.

Yes please!

There is a behind the scenes section of the sight slowly limping into existance, so those would be great to have! If you want to zip them up and send them to me at squiggles@towerstimes.co.uk that'd be fantastic!

I know it's a little thing but on the conference room page the 'solution' in the first paragraph, last word is capitalised for some reason #-o
