Maude de Neville - considering you promised to answer another question, and I believe that you will.

1) What company do you represent - I'm sure you are only going to answer questions on the new ride, but there's no harm in trying!

2) What would you say that the ride hopes to achieve - fear in the riders? Wonderment? Relief? Will it be Hex like in the way that it builds backstory?

Definitely not an AT statue. The watch the ground thing seems terribly amatuerish.

Maybe even too amateurish...

Maude de Neville is a complete hoax, avoid further embarassment by ceasing to ask questions!

Guys, his name is SPELT WRONG. Does this not make you think we should totally discredit Make"Britian"Happy? His video is also really amateurish, especially the ghastly "zooming in" effect and font used on the same section.

I'm not saying Maude is definately genuine, but it's the most likely and we should use this opportunity to ask questions. What have we got to lose?

I think the fact these videos are so easily mock able, and the general tone surrounding them seems to be (to me at least) one of amusement... I'm not buying any of it.

This is Alton Towers we're talking about here, I think we'll all know when they start.

I believe Dan aswell. All the fakers should be named and shamed I say  .

I'm just soo confused and don't know what to believe anymore :( . I think I'll just believe MBH for now...

I think you'd be better off asking a cat which has a sock over its head. It will probably mutter words such as 'B&M' or 'intamin' alot closer to the truth than certain posters here will.

If Alton Towers get wind of this then you could get into some serious bother too Dan

I still think Alton Towers is double bluffing us, making us think this is a hoax. Happens all the time in video-game announcements.

Wouldn't Alton ask to delete the posts immediately straight away? And any self-respecting hoaxer would try to make a half decent video, while tidying up their story.

It's far too amatuerish. And that's why it's good. Haha.

Look, I think we can all finally agree the Maude de Neville thing is a load of tosh. Clever at the start, but quite obviously a hoax.

Shame, cos it seemed pretty good.

I'm also starting to doubt the MBH stuff given the time of the day now. But I have followed ARG's and stuff in the past that have given updates at all times. So it's possible. And to me the most plausible.

Oooh it's all so confusing!

I don't quite understand what you are implying...! Indeed I am going to get into bother with Alton Towers for stating that Maude de Neville is clearly a wind-up fanboy.

Please contribute properly.

Not really.

No.
How would he get in trouble? Doesnt seem to have done anything wrong to be honest.

I might've been wrong, but its been fun. Even if nothing new has come of this flurry of activity, it has still reignited a bit of interest. MBH information now looks a lot more enticing, now that they have a user domain.

I'm still believing Maude for now! Haven't got anything else to go by, so lets just see what question they answer in 15mins time. Could be something a bit more revealing?!

Actually, they'll be delighted there's such massive interest in the project. This is probably exactly what Alton Towers want - hoaxes etc. - it all adds to the frenzy.

And, Simon! - really, save yourself further embarassment and give up on Maude the Fraud.
I can just imagine an Alton executive laughing at the attempts of viral marketing and laughing at everyone getting so excited over it
Go billyrae go
I could actually imagine them rubbing their hands with glee at the amount of hype some potential hoax viral campaigns have caused.

If it's fake, it's kicked up some free advertising. If it's real, then it's job well done.

I'm guessing there will be another answer in about 10 mins. Which will probably be as vague as the first one.
I would think it's quite clear from the plans already released that the theming is going to be quite heavy compared to the actual trackwork etc. There is no new information there.
I dont buy it.
It's certainly creating a buzz though.

Bloody Hell! I Cant belive how many people are on! Christ, I only read this thread late yesterday and tonight there were an extra 11 pages!

I didn't reply to the last info pack, but looking through this lot I can see that there are a lot of scepticism going on here, I can see some truth in what the info packs are saying. Could this be a different kind of viral campaign aimed at us enthusiasts. They may run this parallel with the normal campagnes they run on youtube. Just giving us the info that we will want to see.

The story I think suits Alton, just think how this could work with the existing mythology to other rides within the park.

My main question would be. Will they theme the entire area from the towers (Hex) to the new ride, including Rita?

That to me is important to make any connection work between any story relating to this ride and the history of the towers.
Maude, what kind of viral campaign can we expect? Youtube? ARG? Mini-website?
The viral marketing campaign targeted at the general public will be a hybrid of all the above, along with some new techniques and the utilization of traditional media channels in a way that hasn't been seen before.

One more question will be answered by the team tonight in one hours time, if an appropriate question is asked in the next hour. The next question answered will be about the ride specifically, as opposed to the marketing campaign.
