2010: Secret Weapon Six Part Three
Maybe people should like, stop posting so much until there's more information or something genuinely new to discuss? :P The people moaning about the crap they're having to read are only replacing it and contributing to it now! This topic got way out of hand last night... It was like the Internet version of a Skins party! :P

This whole debacle could further discourage AT from using a viral marketing campaign for this and future projects. A Secret Weapon justifies a dramatic new marketing strategy, not just a re-hash of previous ideas.
Something revolutionary and unexpected will spark more debate and interest than an adapted version of the marketing for Saw.

Did you see how many people were online last night?! Discourage AT, I think not! If anything it is a brilliant example of how well it could work. If me and MBH managed that with no money, little effort and most members thinking it's a fraud from the word "go", imagine how much hype AT could drum up with a genuine campaign!
Personally I agree with Kaycee, theres no-where this topic can really go until something "concrete" (pun intended) is confirmed. Perhaps a voluntary moratorium on all this speculation for a bit?

Well done to ShootTheCore. You pulled that of extremely well, and to be honest we all needed that at some point!
Also, thanks to Kaycee for deleting some of the unesscary posts in this forum, even if most of them were mine. :P
Anyway, does anyone have anyone pictures of the hole that's supposedly appeared on the construction site?

My point being that doing similar things to what you did could be rendered meaningless as you have already (in an unofficial but effective way) done them. Rather than putting all their eggs into one basket, they can attack on all fronts. If they see that enthusiasts left to their own devices will create their own furore surrounding the new ride then let them. But at the same time concentrate on penetrating a different aspect of our psyche via a different medium.

I reckon that the legend about the Dog is still an alright story. I didn't think it suited SW6 much, simply based on what we have seen so far. I think it's a touch more errie rather than "Omg there is a dog chasing us".
It got me thinking about a cool retheme of Rita - that's a bit more blatent and high octane than what SW6 will be. A bit more firey. A bit more vengeful, perhaps?
I had an image of the ride track remaining red and the cars each getting major rethemes. Over where the Ug Games building is they could put a large facade of another castle-type building where the Rita rips straight through a window during the launch. In the building they could hide a giant, scary dog with red eyes that growls at you as you soar past. You only see it for a second, but it would actually make you poo yourself.
You rip round the track until you reach the breakrun. From here until you turn the bend back into the station, a sortof tunnel is formed so riders are in semi-darkness. They could play with your head a bit here. Maybe have the sound effect of a panting dog getting closer and closer or something?
It was just an idea! What do people think? I just thought it was a fairly decent story and one that could actually fit with Rita.

Yeah, for SW6, I'd much prefer a sinister hooded statue. I'm talking about Rita.
'Cause I'm really bored with revision, I spent a few minutes knocking this together.

they will change the themeing but i think the name will always stick to rita queen of speed. Which in my opinion isnt a great name because it doesnt fit with ug land and if the area is going to be forest themed i dnt think it will fit with that either.
Edit: I was bored aswell so i decided to make a very quick mock up rita sign which changes its sub name *queen of speed* due to the fact that i dont think it fits in what so ever with a firest theme. Looks alot more synister than the original rita sign which i really hope they dont stick with for the new theme.
2nd try

Well, I have not been on here for nearly 4 weeks, and what do I come back to, but 78 pages of utter nonesense!
What is going on with this forum, it used to be a delight to read through all of the posts on a new project. This is just painful.
I will see you all in another 4 weeks to see if there is any real updates on AT's latest baby.

Couldn't there be Two topics, "Random Bunf Topic" and a carefully moderated SW6 Topic for people to post findings and realistic, evidence backed speculation?
I'm trying to keep this one more heavily moderated from now on, but we are going to shake it up a little bit very soon with a separate sub-forum for SW6 in Alton Towers Future and specialised topics to keep discussion a bit more fluid... this will be carefully moderated.
Edit: We should definitely have a 'Random Bunf topic' though. :P

Name it that and I will live there, permanently.
I know people are moaning about the amount of pages this thing is racking up on here, but it can be seen as a good thing...there is so much excitement about this coaster, if you mute that excitement down about 80%, that's what the public are going to be like, and it makes a nice change for Towers to have this much buzz around one years development...

^That video is brilliant in my opinion! I had to turn it right up at the end but actually found it pretty eerie.
Oh and I have just spent the last hour trawling through all this crazy stuff that happened over the last few days! I must say I did browse the forum during this time but my goodness it escalated so quickly into pandemonium that I left it.
It was a pretty cool scam and the borrowed back story I had never heard of before so at least I found that out about that which is pretty cool.

^ Damn, beat me to it. ha
Interesting how he said the watchman opens the ground and basically swallow you up. (hence watch the ground) That to me seems like a good thing they could put into the station building. Where the floor gives way and the track drops a couple of floors until your underground with the night watchman and you get shot backwards to get away from him. Which would mean that travelling through the woods throughout the ride could be the searching for him.
Anyways, this storyline could be used with SW6. But to be honest I still think its a fake until we see some more concrete evidence.

Looks like the marketing team have given Sir Algeon one of the cameras after a pot smoking session.
I really do think this is real.

If its not real, then it is a really good fan-made video and it really has me interested where the plot is going with it.

It does sound very much like young Algenon.
I'm not going to say its real or fake as I will get accused of being 'gullible'.
"He will open the ground and swallow you up" sounds very much like the tilt section, inside the station building. Cool.
Anybody have a good idea if anything is said at the end? I can't make anything out.
ShootTheCore, been to any woods lately?

I think that sounds spot on. It's great they keep putting out these videos, whoever is making them. Can't wait for more
EDIT: Yeah in the end it says something like see me.
