Love it.
Cloud Cuckoo Land sounds like exactly the type of thing, that an area like that should be called.
Alton seem to be getting good at their naming.
Sharkbait Reef, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Mutiny Bay..

Could we see an Alton take on/take ideas from "The Birds" play? Something which involves happy-dappy characters who want to create a land above the clouds called Cloud-Cuckoo-Land? Just a thought but I hope they'll relate it more to Algenon/Alton itself :)

Intresting choice of name, hope it pulls off...

What's with the Cloud in front of it?

Am I just missing something, but Cuckoo Land sounds less fussy :D
AstroDan

Yes, but Cuckoo would suggest the bird. Cloud Cuckoo is an expression of being with your head in the clouds, detached from reality.
Satch

Because "Cloud Cuckoo Land" is a well known phrase, and "Cuckoo Land" isn't

I was thinking the same, Johno.

Less is more.

EDIT: Oh well, I suppose the two above posts explain it.

I wouldn't say Cuckoo Land isn't a well know phrase though. I hear it from time to time. Roy Keane was a fan of the phrase in his press conferences.

This is very strange, as for the first time I can remember, the phrase cloud cukoo land was first heard by me in a science lesson yesterday. Weird!

(We were discussing the US's attitude towards global warming :P)

This is a good name and a good theme, I like it!

The good thing about a 'generic' theme like this is that things like Charlie and Driving School can still fit in, because they are 'imaginary', 'away from reality' versions of things. It also gives flexibility for different shows that aren't tied into a specific time and place.

good work, Alton!

Who's responsible for that colour scheme? That's going to look awful!

I think they should have gone for silver or gold, but I guess non-metallic paint is cheaper and will probably age better. Perhaps they're going old-school Disney style and we'll also see red and blue gondolas? And lets not forget Chessington's Safari Skyway has (very faded) yellow trains!
