Theme Music

Hey,

For my Music Technology composition this year, I have decided to write a theme for...well... a theme park :P.

Basically, what would you like to see in theme park music? And apart from ITHOTMK, what other inspirational theme music have you heard from theme parks?

(Hope that makes sense....)

Vampire, Duel Queue Line & Hex are may favourites. I personally like tracks with a haunting sound with a nice soft vocal in the back ground.

Nope, second :) - we have to do a free composition so I decided to theme it around theme parks :D

Keep the ideas and inspiration coming :)

Classical piece apart from ITHOTMK? Tricky! LOL :P

Lakme: The Flower Duet can be very good in it's un-touched form (resemble the gardens?) if jazzed up like BA have done in many of their adverts (this could be used for family rides?) or using one of a few dance mixes (used for the thrill rides?), mix this up with ride music like colossus (post-5mins) and hex, maybe duel, Valhalla and a few others and you could have a rather good contrasting piece of different music all in one to resemble all that a theme park has to offer.

Mars, from the The Planets suite by Gustav Holst. I love that piece, its really popular too. Used a lot in movies. I think it would work in a theme park too though.
