It's fine to double post if there's been a sizeable amount of time between the two posts and the second post contains information that people would be interested in seeing - hence the need for the topic to flag up as orange again.
It's the sort of double posting where people post again seconds/minutes later where they have obviously not hit the Edit button instead, which is banned.
