I did a dissertation on theme parks theme park technology and the advancement of theme park entertainment in the future. Took me ages to do! So good luck start early I left it till last minute and spent all my time designing my casino / theme park.

Could anyone please provide me with some information on this? I've only just heard about it and I am researching accidents and deaths in theme parks as part of just general interest.
Also any other information, newspaper clippings etc on AT accidents/Deaths would be really appreciated. This is an interest of mine.

Don\'t like me learn to put up with me
I don’t think there was one . The only major accident at Alton has been the mine train last year. for minor things - Corkscrew valleyed between the corkscrews, and (rumour has it) black hole decapitated the test dummies when it was first tested. other than that I don’t think any accidents of the roller coaster type have happened at Alton. Alton has a very clean track (pun intended) record.
AH are you thinking of the 1993 Beast disaster I wonder?
When the entire carriage derailed from the track on the main drop? Eight people dead, four seriously injured. It was a shame...
Where did you hear that ?
That never happened.....

Really?
That sounds very dangerous! Was anyone on it at the time and has this been documented anywhere?

The previous season Rita lost one of its complete wheel hubs mid ride. Could of escalated into a more serious accident

I know they obviously can and have to for safety reasons, but how the hell do the e-vac the sky ride, it must be very very difficult as its either over thick tree coverage or 200ft in the air.
