I find it highly unlikely they'd refer to a 4D cinema as a ride.
I was thinking that.

So the GDO thing dosent cover X-sector? Just Dark forest?

You can see the GDO areas on that map roughly.

Thanks, first time I've seen that. GDO is general development opportunity?

GDO allows them to modify/build with minimal planning permission needed - depending on what they want to do obv... I think.

Indeed. They can do what they want as long as it meets requirements for noise, visibiility, increase in traffic etc.

This might be asking too much and I'm not sure if any of this would be viable but if Alton Towers are getting them then then these are a few layout ideas I made quickly to give you an idea of what space might be used and what it might be used for, etc...

Forbidden Valley Dark Flat Ride:

X-Sector 4D Cinema and Show:

Feel free to tell me if all of this is complete poop. I have a feeling it is anyway! :P

Your watermark is almost as subtle as Coaster Force's.

I really like the dark ride plan, the 4D plan I like less - but agree it could work. The show would be interesting...

I like how you have the que entrance down near the bottom closer to the "Hub of activity", which would certainly make the ride feel more attatched to FV, however would there be any que that is enclosed, as that significantly helps build atmosphere for a dark ride IMO.

Past couple of hours I've actually warmed up to the idea of an indoor flat that is enclosed in a 25m squared area on said site, especially if it were to be themed correctly (I.E. not like air FFS) Perhaps something like Samauri at TP However it could perhaps end up being too tall at a building hight of 65ft (Yay for digging in?)

Still don't think that it should be at the dynamo sight unless we're getting a mini Eurosat in the tent too. IF we got both I'd be over the moon :) Doubt it'll happen though.

Maybe we'll get an indoor crab cemetery! But on a serious note im looking forward to seeing some plans and I wouldn't mind a 4D cinema as long as the seats move etc. and it's NOT in Forbidden Valley :)

Well it's not down to me but if it was I'd have parts of the queue enclosed and parts not because they could then be themed to keep it neat, rather than have scenery pieces dotted around as I don't think there's a lot of space there.

My idea with outside seating on the X-Sector plan is that the whole of the west face of the tent would be removed and have a cover which would roll down when shows aren't on. When it's sunny you can sit outside and watch the show or at least feel engaged and part of what's going on in the show area. Then the snack bar can be accessed from inside or outside depending on where you're sat. People leaving the 4D Cinema can leave out into X-Sector or into the show area where they can take a seat and watch the show or just get a quick bite to eat. If they then painted Oblivion, sorted out the queue lines and got the second arm running for the extra people coming into X-Sector then I think this area would be really great! :)

Is there really need for another snack bar in X-Sector?

The Meltdown outlet (sorry KFC  )has plenty adequate seating indoors and outdoors even if it does get very busy at mealtimes.

I wish they would just reinstate the amazingly themed Rehydrator cafe..

:)

Not a food outlet but more of just a bar with drinks, crisps, sweets, etc... I just thought it might be a way to make it more lively rather than just have seats in there - have tables too so you can just go in for the chilled atmosphere and get a drink and talk with your friends,etc... But obviously it's just an idea I had.

It's not a 4D cinema.

It is the Dynamo site though as I told you a week or two ago.

(If) they are opening a 4D cinema it will be converted from an existing venue which should be pretty obvious to all of you.

This ride will not be in the Black Hole tent, as you all know the tent is being used for Scarefest this year. Anyone remember all those rumours about the Mystery Castle style "Project Catacombs" a few months ago?

How can you be so sure that the Black Hole tent will be used for Scarefest?

The Zombie Scarezone is based on a road, so they will probably gonna use one of the access roads that go along
the side of the park! And we dont know if there will be another Scaremaze!

Even if it was used for lets say another Scaremaze! It would be easy to rip it down on the 1st November, then start work on the new attraction!
