i would say that the app will be released on the feb half term opening day as part of the features involves QR Codes, i believe that when it does become availiable there may be other features other than the game like "make you smile"
and some backing info on TMOJ and The Sanctuary

You just touched a nerve that's all. I don't like it when people comment as such like 'in true AT style', especially on an AT forum. Alton do leave people guessing, but thats the way they do things. I didn't mean to sound rude.

Did anyone else notice how it says on the vertical lift photo 'convert' or something like that, i wonder what that could be?

I do not understand, does not appear in the picture or the sea serpent or anything?? where are they??

One question, because there seems no looping or anything in the game, only the lift.

I don't think we can expect to see an exact recreation of the ride with the app. It would ruin the surprise. I think it will be a similar layout, so no need to worry when assuming elements are omitted

It also said more elements of the game would be unlocked by going to AT and scanning QR codes. So it could be these that add the extra elements, and perhaps the SE, as I doubt they would reveal the SE through a game straight off, 3 months before opening.

As much as we all hope that I highly doubt it will come out tomorrow, it will probably come out some time after Valentines i suppose, i imagine they would have been trying to get the launch to coincide with the original advert releases, however due to the adverts probably being pushed back i would imagine this will come out at their originnaly planned release date

Also for anyone going on about the track missing inversions it does say that you upgrade the track, and whats the point of games if you start out with only 1 thing to do (riding a rollercoatser), everyone loves upgrades, and i would imagine there will be a QR code or 2 in the queue lines unlocking special elements such as the sea serpent roll and probably first the cobra roll then the batwing etc etc until you have collected all outdoor pieces with you having to wait until opening day to download the indoor sequence

Would of thought the game would be released just days before the Half Term event. So around Valentines day.

do not understand why in the pictures only show curves and lift hill, where are the inversions??

I think it would be a good Idea to launch it early Feb, that way they got chance to test some the interactive park elements during half term.

i hope it comes out on the 16th as thats my birthday, but anyway the app in my opinion should be released towards the end of Feb to the middle of March.

all i hope for in this app is that its realistic, has good graphics and is not fiddly like most apps :moj

Just to confirm that the app is free, someone on twitter asked Alton Towers and this is their reply:

Obviously not surprising as it is free advertising for the new ride and the resort itself. Although, when pressed for a date this is how they responded:
