They came to the UK to look at Stealth before it opened!

The first riders on SAW will be this week. Please keep any reviews/spoilers for the new rollercoaster at the park in this thread. This will help any readers who are planning trips to the park later in the season, but do not want to know the ins and outs of the ride, to keep it all a suprise.

Well we all know that the opening weekend is going tobe very busy coz of Saw... well ive just got the new Saw DVD came in post yesterday... and theres even an advert for the Saw ride at Thorpe park just before the main DVD menu... so if that dosn't give Thorpe park a boost this year then nothing will lol.

There are a number of clues,

eg. the currencies photo, plus the "see you soon Lou" (I believe she lives in England)

Oh yay, the great Theme Park Review are going to honour us with their presence. :|

I've been really impressed with the construction, especially as I'm not a fan of THORPE PARK, the Saw movies or Eurofighters. But, I've been pleasantly surprised. I hope Thorpe don't mess it up with their usual issues.

Yeah when I looked at those pictures that's why I came to the assumption that they are going to England to ride Saw. So if I am correct you are furiously agreeing with me.

It can't really be anywhere else they are going. Not that where they go makes masses of difference to my life..

It seems stupid to come all the way over to ride Saw so soon, if they'd have waited a little longer at least then they could have gone and done another few parks when they open at the end of March.

:)

Lets move on from TPR's little trip anyway. SAW Opens in 5 days now.

That is true, and I do wish I could be there. But it doesn't look like I can make it up until April at the earliest, darn Thorpe Park for being in Surrey..
AstroDan

Since the ride is opening this week, if you have a review of your experience, and wish to share your thoughts, please post these in the new Saw Reviews thread which can be found here - this way, we'll avoid spoiling any suprises for anyone who cannot ride until after the opening period.

Free tickets for Friday anyone?

Enter this competition (pass holders only) to win one of 500 pairs of tickets for Friday's event. Winners can take anyone as a guest.

Why bother entering? Because my mate just entered and he was immediately told he'd won!

It's nice of Merlin to give 1000 free tickets away to an event some have already payed £20 for. Can you imagine the at least 2000+ people not riding Saw at any one time stuck in Lost City with a 1 train Colossus? :P

I entered my details, clicked submit, and instantly told I'd won!

Will have to look into the chances of getting Friday off work.

I'm going to the event in friday but i'm kind of wishing i hadn't bothered now. I paid £6.50 on top of the cost of my annual pass which i'd already paid, just for the 'privelage of riding SAW once one day before the park opens and then queueing for hours, by the sounds of things for other rides which i could ride the following week, on a weekday with no queues.

So far this season i have visited Thorpe 3 times and loved it, probably the best start to the season i've ever had. I'm currently feeling more positive than ever about Thorpe but i somehow get the idea that friday is going to ruin it for me :(

Dont hold hope on this free tickets thing..

I just entered and won, and entered a expired annual pass number.

I have my doubts as well, I can't see any mention of it on the annual pass website.

It's a genuine competition.

Basically the confirmation email will carry the pass number you entered. Thorpe Park will match it with a current valid annual pass before allowing entry.

However, yes the competition has a 100% chance of winning for the time being.

Should we have had the confirmation now or on the 11th March?

Someone I know entered this, and received and an email about a minute later, saying they had won entry to the 12pm till 2pm, and they didn't enter the competition on sawtheridecom.

Could be confusion on Friday a plenty...
