Shame I will probably never get to ride it
Why's that? Its like a 2 hour drive from Calais, hardly the North Pole...

Beautiful ride is beautiful!

Cannot wait to ride this in summer - and hopefully go on an 11pm ride close, too!

I wonder why so long? It seemed the track was completed months ago.

^To be fair due to the intricate nature of the thematics it does look like it was a time consuming job.

Plus....it's in France. :p

They only started painting the intricate bits in February :P

The thing has been built since last summer - I think perhaps B&M had so much on their plates, they wanted to get this started ASAP.

Who cares, it's a year well worth waiting :P

I'm guessing a lot of time has gone into the themeing and design of them though. I'd rather they take time with these things than rush them and see the results suffer.

Exactly, even though the testing video I've seen it looked pretty slow and cumbersome, it's still probably the most interesting invert since Mamba!

Don't forget that the head of the project was a member of some french forums a few years ago.
Parc Astérix clearly said that they were inspired by attractions such as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Indiana Jones Adventures or Black Mamba.
So yes, this is definitly the most interesting invert since Black Mamba, and it's higher and bigger, with a unique layout.
And the result already looks amazing!

Shamone 8th April! Looking great!!

I didn't really enjoy Astèrix when I visited last week, but I'm not sure whether that was because I was tired or just because nothing really stood out.

Here's hoping Oz'Iris changes that!

Last week? might be because it was closed when you visited Saz!

I love this. You'll be under there for a split second, travelling at god knows what speed, and they've still themed it! :)

This is just stunning. The attention to detail and the quality of the theming is first rate! :D

One random question though. Why on Earth does every seat have it's own number?! I'm sure it would be easier going off the usual system of row-seat (I.E. 3-2) than individual numbers like Seat 10? if they are going to use the row-seat system though then why does each one have a number? :P *confused*

The queueline looks like it's going to be fun walking through though, given all the ride interaction. June really can't come soon enough now :D

Haha, that is brilliant! Just like on Menhir Express, they have let their humor show through. Great work!

Here is a video from today.

You can hear in the background the music from the land.
