Not AT and not quite a breakdown, but a fault none the less:

So any of you who know the pleasure beach in Skegg, there is a kids mine ride, so I go on it A: Because I was the only person who could afford a wristband and B: because I had nothing better to do. But half way through the second  circuit, I hear a click, I look down, and start lifting the lap bar up and pushing it down thinking 'well, this isn't right' really not scared as there is a plastic mountain that i can just go to if i needed to get off  but no thats about it for me, my one was boring for me, and quite funny even at the time...thank god it wasn't the Wild mouse ride that they had

Oh the skyride, possibly everytime I've been on it! Oh, and Duel. It stopped midway through, for about ten minutes, then we started moving again...  8)

When i was on Duel with the family we got stuck in the spiders scene and the ride car stopped and we was still shooting. "The ride will restart shortly", about a few mins later the ride restarted again where we left off.

Oblivion in Sept 2012 on the brake a couple of foot before the drop.

The engineering department in work managed to get a day of "team bonding" at alton towers. The weather was horrendous and it was freezing cold. As we got to the top of the lift hill, moving slowly towards the drop there was a thud then we stopped. Felt like we where up there for an age and it was freezing, I felt sorry for the poor women who had to come up to us as she looked knackered by the time she got to top.

After a while we where told we would start moving soon, but they where unsure whether we would be stopped by the holding brake on the drop. When we finally moved the train car crawled towards the edge at about 1 mph as we slowly moved forwards there was another clunk as the front of the train moved over the edge but the holding brake did not hold us and the train went over.

All in all it was the best ride I ever had on Oblivion the anticipation leading to the drop was immense. After the ride we went over to woodcutters bar and grill to warm up only for the fire alarm to go off so we had to be evacuate mid food/drink.

While on Air, once we had loaded up, we were lifted into the flying position, only to be lowered again. Just a moment later, it happened again and then it worked. Not a major breakdown by any means, but it was fun.

I have witnessed this whilst in the queue for Air, for whatever reason the carriages get lifted but don't make it all the way up to lock. It looked like it really confused some of the guests on board.

Queuing for Air during Fireworks (9th), this was happening numerous times in the left-hand station. It slowed the queue tremendously, and it was no surprise that it happened when it eventually got round to our go!

I have been stuck on Air in the brake run still in the flying position for about 20 minutes, really boring staring at the paving...

I've been on Air when its gone up into position, then came back down, checked my restraint, back up then some one else on my rows restraint, scary tbh!

Also, PBP, revolution stopped mid launch and we rolled back and evacuated, ride was shut down for most of the day then :/

I can add to the Air. It did the same up and down, up and down, it left the station by about a metre, then halted, it had an emergency stop, that meant that none of the carriages could come down because it had moved out the station by all of a metre...so yes half an hour of hanging about.

I haven't had any experiences of the RC-breakdown variety yet :(

I've been stuck in the restraints on Air (as a lot of people have I suspect). They didn't release after getting back in to the station so one of the staff had to use a key to manually release it.

I have been stuck in air while they had a problem in the station. I didn't mind hanging there it was just that i think somebody from the previous train had vomited on the floor! thinking back perhaps that had something to do with why we were stuck there.

Also Duel a couple of times, spooky when nothings moving and it's all "dead".  :p)

At butlins skeggy I've been stuck on a monorail that had barely made it out of the station. They got the only other monorail to pull us back in after 30 minutes of being stuck there.

One thing that does annoy me is that I may be no technician but I'd like to know a bit more about why the ride has stopped, for example mobile phones, launch/lift problem, weather, station issues etc.

Same here, I don't really understand why they don't tell you

It is so people don't worry and panic, it is just so people think 'oh, it might not be anything serious'
Just my opinion of why they don't tell you..

Sorry not at Towers, but still a breakdown all the same. Got stuck on Dragon's Fury at Chessington for half an hour. The cart stopped on the second block break for just over 1/2 an hour and then continued to complete the course at a really slow speed. We were then given complimentary fastracks and a discount on the on ride photo. ;)

I got stuck coming into the loading bays on Oblivion in the rain, which wasn't cool. It was freezing too, and I was stuck there for about half an hour.

Not really a breakdown but on Spider-Man at IOA the car stopped for 3 seconds and then continued but the screens were out of sync. So when we turned the corner to another screen it was the end of the scene and then it went blank. We got to ride straight away with no queue.
Also, I was stuck in the flying position on Manta in the brake run for about 5 minutes because only one side of the station was open.
As for AT I haven't broken down on any of the rides. I would love to be escorted off one though.
