Not sure I'd count on that being the case here :lol

The real question is: How long will it take before the queue line shop becomes a set of vending machines?  :-k

Thats what i was thinking! I would also love a new ride in gloomy wood, and a coaster is perfect!
and Oh my God! SW8 is going to have an early release (hopefully!).

These pictures confirm that Universal Rocks will almost certainly be working on the theming structure, at least.

Theme Park Worldwide have posted a couple of photos showing today's progress on the pre-show building as well as the addition of bents in the vicinity of the queue-line shop.

Maybe the architecture and design of the preshow building may give some clues? It may be a little early on to tell.

I do think the height of the actual pre-show area is curious, and will no doubt be utilised by whatever show sequence is inside. From the plans, the lower section appears to contain the baggage area and somewhere to hold guests prior to entering the pre-show.

I waa on park today and grabbed some pics though all prettu similar to what's been posted already. I did manage to grab a close up of the wire mesh thats on the theming structure Image

And marvelled (without pics) at the banking thats going on further down the first drop. Looks like youre going to be swayinf drom side to side.

The preshow building structure looks very church-y

Here's a sneak peak from TPG of the theming element. To me it looks like wood or spiky rocks...

Image

Also this image popped up in a discord server showing the turn around half way through the course...

I'm sure you have noted the complete lack of banking on the turn which would suggest a low speed at this point, hopefully this is for a reason or another banked section will be added on top, rather than the coaster slowing down... :nervious:

There is a further update from Theme Park Guide due soon. Now you mention it, Owen, it looks more like bent wood panels and not so much like the spikes originally seen!

Theme Park Guide has updated their construction page with lots of images from the construction of SW8. I've posted a few of the theming structure below.

Considering those black parts are see through, they're not wooden planks... most likely wire mesh wrapped ready for rendering, so at this point, could still be anything.

Thoses covers that state Alton (followed by a number), I would not be surprised if that is track work.

Also the look of that roof tiling, and the new structure being built along with the new see through mesh? I can't place my finger on what this theme will be :|

Is it just me or does the theme structure look like burnt wood? If it does then surely it's going to use smoke and fire effects to simulate going through a burning structure.

Would make for a very intense near miss, fire experience.

I was thinking the same thing, it looks like burnt timber. Or my first thought was a burnt boat/ship hull.
