Slagharen has today announced the details of its new for 2017 rollercoaster, Gold Rush - the Netherlands' first triple launch coaster (although these launches are all on the same section of track).
The new roller coaster takes visitors back in time of gold fever. The story is based on the protagonist James W. Marshall found in California first gold in 1848. From all corners of the world come prospectors scour rivers and streams with simple techniques. The techniques improve and small towns grow into cities. For the transport of gold used new transportation methods, including the steam train. For this, an extensive rail network and station will be constructed.
Here's a summary of the statistics;
- Type: Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster
- Height: 31 metres
- Length of track: 400 metres
- Experience of the track: 620 metres
- Inversions: 2
- Speed: 90 km/h
- Ride duration: 50-55 seconds
- Trains: 1 train, for a total of 20 passengers
- Capacity: 800 pph
It certainly looks like a good-sized investment for the park, and perhaps this is Gerstlauer's answer to Premier Rides' Sky Rocket.
