Just me who finds it funny that the last ride on that site got shut down for H&S
And now 10 years later this won't open due to H&S

Our contacts on park have informed us of the reason for the delay. It turns out that the ride has indeed been signed off by Gerst, and there are no technical issues that we have been made aware of at this time.
The reason for the delay, is that Towers are now still waiting on the health and safety executives, to sign off on the fire exits, evacuation procedures, and all manner of other H&S paperwork/risk assessments.
Some workers were still under the impression that it should still open on time tomorrow. This suggests that Towers are playing it safe and stating that it won't open, in the event that there are unforeseen circumstances. This is not to suggest that it definitely will open, but I would suggest that if you were planning on going, you may want to go anyway on the off chance. The worst that can happen is that you will have a good day on the other '50+ rides & attractions', seeing as it's supposed to relatively dry tomorrow too
Rumours aren't really rumours when they are announced by the forum team.... Try checking back a few pages.

There hardly going to say it wont open because of a fire exit issue are they? they have to say somethings wrong with the ride to make it seem like it couldn't have been avoided.

So might the confirm that duelling isn't going to happen on the two drops above the toilet as the vertical lift train would reach the top much quickerthemeparkcollective wrote: VIEW OF THE SMILER SITE TODAY!

Well you can clearly see that the train on the vertical lift will reach the top first so we won't have duelling drops?NINJAwarrior360 wrote:How does one work this out?danny.g97 wrote:So might the confirm that duelling isn't going to happen on the two drops above the toilet as the vertical lift train would reach the top much quickerthemeparkcollective wrote: VIEW OF THE SMILER SITE TODAY!

But motor powering the vertical has more strain on it, and the motor on the normal lift hill goes faster but the car has to go further so wouldn't they reach the top at about the same time ?

It was the split-screen one posted earlier, it isn't of the trains dueling, just of the pov side by side showing both halves of the ride at once.danny.g97 wrote:So where's the video?RCandrew wrote: I'm pretty sure I saw a video posted on here today of the car going up both lift hills simultaneously and they had percent timing thought the whole ride..

That wasn't them actually going round the track. Just the first section and the second section split up and timedRCandrew wrote: I'm pretty sure I saw a video posted on here today of the car going up both lift hills simultaneously and they had percent timing thought the whole ride..
