its imposible ,becouse the smiler layout and theming is patented.Phild94 wrote:Do you think anyone is insane enough to reconstruct this ride????dylan.tempelaars wrote: you know how china copied colossus at Thorpe park, do you think anyone will copy the smiler?
Admittedly I imagine in 5 years or so it will be copied but it won't have half as many head choppers and near misses because it won't have the marmaliser stood over the track...... And it won't have any of the spark that Wardley gave to it

some people call me insane, you are right!
The window looks like it's the 'You belong to the Smiler' eye test sort of thing on the wall, judging by the light reflected onto the floor.

I spoke to Towers yesterday about booking a standard room over Smiler opening and managed to speak with 2 people who both said I will have to keep looking for the open date of the ride then book up quick. Then I spoke with a third person who told me that AT intend on opening Smiler between the 2 bank holidays in May. I checked that out and could be anywhere between the 6th and the 26th.
I asked them if they could make a interested parties database so people that want to stay on park over the ride opening can get on with their lives.....I'm trolling sites everyday because I need to know the date!
I'm almost begging them to take £200 off me and they wont!

just thought id give my verdict, I quite like the rooms, the carpet style is very 'optic illusuional' (scientific term;) ) and I really like the security cameras above the bed, the hospital style curtains and the wall designs. However, I do think that this is very modern which isnt really what The Smiler is all about.... Just thought id give you my two cents about it
